Bautista outplays his contract by more than $70 million over the next four seasons (2013-2016).

I know the jays BP (preseason/practice) caps were grey for a year or two.... And they definitely orignally planned on a graphite coloured uniform for the road (darker then the typical away greys in mlb) but I think I read somewhere that although they were made, they didn't have mlb-permission for the darker shade, and couldn't wear them. Not sure about a regular season graphite cap though....I think they may have actually worn them a bit.
Frankly, I think the jays current look is abysmal....atleast the darker grey woulda been unique.

I remember reading about this. It actually had to do with the heat. They found the darker graphite look made it unbearably hot for the players especially in places like Texas. They made the change not long after however pieces of the original graphite are still there, like the outlining of the logo, lettering on the jays uniform.
I personally didnt like it, the graphite caps looked like a dirty faded black.

Wow, serious. And the San Diego Pirates can get away with the thousands of brutal uniforms they wear each year.
Anyway, here's the hat

I wonder if they'll ever go back to the original hat/hats? They're still popular throughout the city though I am surprised to see how many people are wearing the alternative 'T' hat. I haven't been a fan of any of the logo changes and I'd be more than happy to see the original logo make its way back.

I weep a little every time I see early-90s jays highlights, and not just in memory of the great teams.... The world-series era look was outstanding....one of the best around. They'd sell like mad in the current throw-back obsessesed uni-culture. Maybe update them ever so slightly (always found something garish about the cap logo - maybe make it a bit smaller/tighter) but the font and colours were perfect (whodda thunk the bluejays would look good in blue?)

If Golden State can bring back the "Bridge" logo with an updated modern look and succeed with it, I don't see why the Jays can't bring back the old logos.

they should move back to the logo of the bird flexing and looking angry while hiding behind a T

correct me if i'm wrong, but wasn't this the Rocket Roger/steroids-era logo?

That logo was used as our primary logo for 1 season in 2003. It had been used as an alternate logo for a few seasons previous, I believe starting in 2000, mostly BP and on random days.
