IMO he is one of the best 3 centers in Europe right now!
Right now he is playing euroleague against Maccabi Tel-Aviv, a european Powerhouse also:

18 PTS (8-11 FG, 2-2 FT)
13 RBS
4 BLK
3 STL

last game in the Spanish League vs. Barcelona:

15 PTS + 13 RBS + 4 BLK - 3 AST

game before:

17 PTS + 11 RBS + 3 AST + 3 STL

Today: Caja Laboral - Menorca 79:61

Stanko Barac:
21 PTS (9/13 FG, 3/4 FT)
13 RBS
2 BLK
2 AST

Barac extended his contract with Caja Laboral few days ago, meaning that he won`t be coming over for a while. He is similar to Roy Hibbert actually, so not sure if he fits in Pacers long term plans. With his stock on the rise, perhaps Pacers could trade his rights for future first round pick.

Barac reminds me of Zydrunas Iglauksas in his prime. Great lenght, good rebounder-shotblocker with nice stroke from mid-range.

You can never get enough good big men, and having a 7"2" one showing that he can play in th second best league is promising.

I expect Hibbert to be that lock-down bog for the Pacers in the present and future, but it would be nice to see Stanko be at least a solid backup for Hibbert at the 5 (and maybe some 4). Him coming over in a couple of seasons wouldn't be too bad of an idea either.

^^^ I could see that in a couple years. Hansbrough has I think another year after this already guaranteed and Indy can extend him through 2012-2013. Then, if they think he's not worth keeping around, that could make way for Stanko.

Lorbek is quite a bit older than Stanko. I think his time has passed.

Lorbek is doing well. He has a very well rounded game, but from what I gather the Barcelona coach isn't utilizing him very well whatsoever aka shoots threes when he should be operating with his post skills.

I don't think his "time" is up either, but rather he has been making good money and was under a long contract, which will be up this summer.

Not saying he's a shoe in to move to the NBA, but it shouldn't be ruled out. Would obviously depend on whether it's more beneficial for him financially, or whether Indiana thinks it's a worthwhile risk.

Lorbek imo is one of the best PF in Europe...for sure top 3, but he plays in Barcelona in 10 man rotation so it is not evident in his numbers. Last year in European Championships he was picked in the best team.(top5)
He has amazing post game and multiple moves around basket. The problem is his will and desire so I doubt he has a wish to play in NBA. He kind of likes it in Europe. Also this summer he did not play in WC in Turkey for Slovenia saying he is tired after a long season :o If a player turns down national team as being tired you have to question his desire and work ethic.

Impressive. Hopefully, he can be a solid contributor for the Pacers someday.

We need to atleast get Lorbek in here soon, before he is too old. He is either ready or he never will be.

Stanko's #'s indicate he is a beast in the post. Has he added a lot of strength?.... I am excited. Can we bring him over now?

Both should come over next offseason to be cheap replacements for our expirings.
