Getting my 1st look at Trey Thompkins right now as Georgia take on Notre Dame.

Terrence Jones needs to play worse, otherwise we will never have a shot at getting him, and quiet frankly I look at him as a better version of Wallace, a guy who has bigger potential, scoring ability, and good defensive ability.

Also anyone watching Kembla Walker, the guy is not only helping his team with scoring, watch his defense, hes not flashy but he knows on ball D pretty well.

Murriac also is a guy that impresses me, hes slightly slow but always seems to get to the right place at the right time, he is an athlete if you watch him, he can literally out-climb anyone on the court on any given night when jumping for a rebound. The only thing I see being a problem is his questionable post game, he doesnt seem to be agile around the basket consistently, one play he will post and break a defenders heals, another he will simply bumble the ball into the basket. Furthermore I believe he needs to develop his jump shot, while his mid-range game is slightly better then what I expected it to be in terms of efficiency it is still quiet ugly...

Updates on my 3:


Guard:

Malcolm Lee had ankle issues in the first few games, but since returning to health has averaged 18 points, 4 boards, and 2 assists. Hopefully his distribution will jump a bit in the coming games.

HM 1: Tyshawn Taylor has continued his fantastic defensive play (something I've bragged on for the last couple of years now) and is dishing out 7 assists a game, good for 10th in the country. He's also good for 9 points a game which seems low until you see that he's only taking about 5 shots a game.

HM 2: Jacob Pullen has scored in double figures in every game this year (save for the Duke loss) and is chipping in 4 assists, 3 boards, and 2 steals. He's also shooting a solid 34% from deep which makes him a threat both outside and on the drive.



Wing:

Harrison Barnes isn't playing up to expectations, sure, but he's still giving you 13 points, 6 boards, 2 assists, 1 steal, and 1 block a game. Extremely well rounded numbers for a freshman. He's also shooting over 41% from three. This kid is definitely going to keep improving

HM 1: After a 15/7/1/1/1 freshman year, Elias Harris has seemingly fallen out of sorts for Gonzaga. In the first 4 games of the year, he only averaged 6 shots per game. In his last game against Marquette he exploded for 19 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 assists. Hopefully Coach Few realizes what he has in Harris and starts to put the ball in his hands more often.

HM 2: WSU's Klay Thompson is back at it. He's averaging 24 points (good for 11th in the nation) and a fantastic 5 assists to go with a block and steal per game. He seems to be under the radar for some reason, but his play will push him into the spotlight sooner or later.

Big:

JaJuan Johnson has been fantastic this year. 17 points, 8 boards, 3 blocks, AND one steal/assist. He's been the defensive anchor for Purdue once again and is a big reason why they remain undefeated without Hummell.

HM 1: Trey Thompkins has only played two games, so I'll reserve judgement on him.

HM2: Marcus Morris has been playing out of his head this year. 20 points, 6 boards, 2 assists, and a block per game while shooting 70% from the field and 55% from deep. All from a 6'8'' Forward! Many people may not know his name now, but they will by the end of the year when he's a lottery pick.

By the way the Kansas - Arizona game should be a clash of top prospects (or it would be if Shelby could play)

Derrick Williams and the Morris Bros are featured in this game, along with Elijah (if he plays) good game to watch if you ask me...

I can only assume he was still blowing some rust off after the high ankle sprain, but I totally agree. He didn't looks that good at all in the 2 games I have watched him in so far. He's not what I expected at all. I thought he was a low post, back to the basket guy. He didn't show that at all in the 2 games I saw. He's also a lot trimmer than I thought he would be.

Season is only early though. I need to see more of him.

Prospect Update

1. Derrick Williams: 27 points and 7 rebounds is a good game as it is but when you count that it was against Kansas, the refs were making crap calls (horrible), and that he was virtually a 1 man team (received very little help) then you realize how great of a player he is. Williams can light it up on any given night, and lead his team to be the first team that Kansas has played and not blown out by 30 or more so far..... In game his athleticism was shown as elite, Kansas Star Marcus Morris stated before game that even with how good Kansas is they dont have anyone with the athletics and skills of Williams.... That is true respect. Look for Williams to go in the top 5 this year.
Player Comparison: Danny Granger or Iguodala

2. Aaric Murray: Usually a bad night is a bad thing however in Murray's case it convinced me of his skill as despite having an off night in his last game (only posted 8 points) he still managed to be consistent with his rebounds (11) and blocks (4), that is the sort of consistency that I like, as it means that his game is solid enough that even if hes struggling on O it doesn't mean that his game will collapse.

Hes unique? While he has a similar offensive approach to Iggy he seems to play Defense more like Granger....

Justs got done watching Sullinger again. This time Vs FSU. He finished with 11pts (3/9 and 5/8), 13 boards, 1 assist, 1 steal and 1 block.

Such an interesting player. So many positives but there are certainly some negatives too. Just a matter of figuring out which out weighs which.
