No chance at the National Championship. Stanford and TCU don't play and we're too far behind them, so even if Auburn and Oregon lose, we wouldn't go.

Sucks that we're going to get TCU in the Rose Bowl. If we lose, it's obviously going to suck, if we win, we played a small, non AQ school so some will discredit it.

TCU's schedule has been incredibly easy.

Their best wins are over Utah, who probably has no business being ranked and Baylor who played their last three games against ranked teams and got crushed in each game.

Pretty much posted exact same thing yesterday. Winning would be sweet for sure but justified or not, all the other fanbases are going to brush it off because we didn't play a heavy hitter.

I'm actually excited to play TCU - I'd put my money on an absolute blow out. I have no idea how stanford is ranked ahead of us - their schedule was almost as bad as TCU's.

This is kinda why i wanted Boise to win, i think football fans thought more highly of them than TCU.

That said, the one good thing about playing TCU is that i think the game will get a good amount of attention because many will be curious to see just how well TCU holds up vs a BCS conference school. I'm curious myself given that i've yet to see TCU play this year.

Plus, for the many fans out there who don't care for seeing teams like Boise/TCU get ranked top 5 without having to face the same schedules that that the big conferences face, they'll be pleased if UW steamrolls TCU.

Anyone planing on going to Pasadena? I'm thinking about it but could be tough.
If anyone's been to a bowl game before, give me an estimate on costs (2000?)

I'm still hoping Auburn loses so TCU can go to the MNC. I want Stanford. Alabama pretty much ruined my dream, though. I don't think SC will get it done. Oh well.

I plan on it. Go to Bowl Central on UWBadgers.com and check out the packages from FunJet and the Alumni Association. I have no idea if it'd be cheaper to try and put it together on your own and stay less nights, but you won't spend less than $2500 on a package when you factor in your costs once you arrive (food, merchandise, etc.).

What does everyone make of TCU?

I've yet to see them play and given the terrible schedule they've played, i don't know if the Badgers will likely steamroll them or be in a dogfight?

I think it would be a good game. They'll be able to score on us, but their front four is way undersized and our offensive line should have their way with them.

Rose Bowl packages are expensive, or at least they were the last time. The good thing is the place seats so many. Badger season ticket holders and donors have until Wednesday to place their orders (even though we won't know officially where we are going for another week). Then any remaining tix will be offered (I doubt there will be any). Airfare/hotel will be a lot too.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Some tickets will be available via packages with FunJet and the Alumni Association I would think. I am sure that they have some allocated to them. You can do the packages with your own tickets if you get them otherwise (season/donor requesting, as you say), but the packages by default come with tickets. Both places are being advertised by the UW so I'm sure they've allocated tickets to them.
