Would love for us to beat the Heat, I can't stand that team. It looks like an epic failure is occurring down in South Beach.

No Wall or McGee = epic beatdown.

^Not good if McGee can't play (duh)

MIA's weak frontcourt seems like just the kind that
McGee has been thriving against. Also would be nice
to throw Johnny Rocket out there and let those
Heat Gs try to keep up. Fingers crossed that one
or both will end up playing.

This-one has beatdown written all over it with our injuries. The Heat had their "players meeting" so they will want to come out and thrash someone to feel better about where they are at right now and the Wizards fit the bill. Gil & Young combine for 70 and we win in a shocker. :)

I hope this is just posturing so Miami thinks they'll have an easy win tonight. Then BAM, McGee and Wall are out there.

This would be the sweetest win we've had in years.

Agreed.

The health of McGee is critical. McGee at full strength would absolutely wreak havoc on poor old Z Ilgauskas. It would be downright comical. Without McGee, our biggest matchup advantage is lost.

We can live without Wall tonight. If Wall plays, Gil will have to spend a lot of time covering Wade, and I'd rather avoid that if possible. Right now, I think we can do pretty well with Hinrich and Young taking turns guarding Wade, and Gee and Booker checking Lebron. Lebron will probably still score 40+, but they're going to have problems stopping us at the other end with Eddie House guarding Gil and Z on McGee.

Blatche needs to show up tonight and cancel out Bosh.

well now that lebron doesn't have an endless carousel of deadeye shooters to pass to, we can pack the paint to our heart's content. compound that with our surprisingly effective ball-thieving this season and i just don't see lebron cracking 35.

of course, all of this is hinged upon big daddy wookie playing.

I think either Wall will sit out this game or come off the bench because if there is 1 guy that has owned us over the years, its Wade but if there is one guy who has guarded him better then anyone in the league, its Hinrich. Thats why I dont see Flip benching him in this game. I dont see us going small because he wont want any of them on Lebron. Therfore Wall sits or comes off the bench is my guess.

I also see Gil getting to guard the 1 alot this game which he doesnt get to do that much of while also being guarded by Wade so Im very interested in seeing how Gil performs in this one. They start a good but soft Bosh and an old slow Big Z. That means Gil should attack off the pick & roll like he did alot last game. If Gil did that 2 games in a row, made some layups, and got to the line, then that would bode very well for our future. It would be like the final step in his confidence, besides hitting a game winner again

McGee would be great but greater in this game is Gil. Last year I wouldnt think Gil would do anything hardly in a game like this in Flip's system but I think Flip has changed that pick & roll Offense. Its much easier to attack off it then it was last year and I think if Gil is mentally right and attacks then he will own Z or any of there bigs off of it and pick that defense apart on scores, FT's, or assist

What is wrong with McGee?

As pancake said you can definitely pack the paint against the Heat and dare them to shoot. Lebron has been more than happy to oblige, continuing to launch jumpers with predictable results.

I was watching the end of their last game and while Dallas is a strong team they were obviously worn out. It was The Mavs' 4th game in 5 nights and they were struggling badly at the end but Miami just couldn't take advantage. Their offensive ineptitude was amusing to watch.

We've been playing poorly on the road.

The Heat come off of a 40-minute players-only meeting.

We're either gonna get hammered tonight by more than 20 or we'll eke out a win. Don't think it's anything in-between.

I'd like to see Gee take on Lebron (make him a jump shooter, Alonzo). Assuming Wall sits, it let's Gil run the point and that's a point of weakness for the heat.

While he won't start, would love to see Nick get quality time at the 2 checking Wade.

A healthy McGee is the key.

I get the same feeling Pine, we're either going to add to that teams misery or we're going to be victim of another "players only meeting next game romp." It would be huge to have Javale tonight to abuse Miami's frontcourt. Regardless I want to see Gil to continue to progress and Blatche to finallyhave a nice game.

Damn, we need the W's if we want to win this game. Wall & Wookie

Wall needs to come back strong to beat out Griffin for the Wookie of the year.

We need to get healthy. Oh well, we could pull one out against this team. It'd feel nice to have something to hang over LeBron's head.

Hopefully the Wizards don't make any excuses, come out and win this game!
