I've been sitting here for 2 minutes trying to figure out how to respond.

You guys would love it. The West Coast games would start two hours later in the day. 8-)

Seriously, Cousins may bust but he is the type of talent you take a run on if you have the opportunity.

Landry looked fine to me in Houston when in a good system.

Put the trade idea up on the Kings board. See what they say.

I would think getting rid of Salmons and Gooden would be JH's most important task.

Nobody will trade for Bogut while he is broken and if he's healthy he's too good to trade. Tough spot.

Landry and Dalembert are expiring contracts. What you are proposing is Cousins for Bogut straight up with salary filler. Seriously.

And no I won't be putting a trade I think is an epic fail up on another teams board, if you want to, you do it.

I agree. The problem is there is no way out there IMO. I'm not sure we could even get Nocioni or Francisco Garcia for those guys at the moment.

The Kings would blow you under the table during the dinner they are paying for to do that deal today. They know they've got a MASSIVE headache in Cousins just like they know neither Daly or Landry are staying after they expire.

Rest assured, they do it instantly.

Herb and John will have no problem spending the Redd money to re up at least one of those guys.

My thought on putting it up on the Sacto board is the fact they would likely turn it down. I.e. Perceptions of the value of Bogut differ greatly on this board versus league wide. The injury, offensive fail and now back spasms would scare a lot of teams off from offering any type of good asset for him.

Cuz Bogut is just so awesome.

It wouldn't be a no brainer. Cousins can easily be better than Bogut, and Landry is a very solid PF.

I would love this trade just to see Skiles mess with Cousin's head.

No, because Bogut is significantly better than Cousins and isn't a complete nutjob like they already no Cousins is, I believe he's now been fined twice and booted from practice a month into his rookie season. He's got (offensive) talent but they'll cut bait with this kid within a season, if they can get an allstar level big out of him they'll take it and never look back. Landry is fine, but he's an expiring contract for the sake of this deal.

It would be the very definition of a no brainer. Unless someone was insane enough to offer more I suppose.

Landry's numbers this season aren't much better than Gooden's and his rebounding is around the same level as Marcus Thornton's.

You always do that, why do I care what some ignorant Kings fans think of Bogut Press? Isn't it GM's who make trades?

Significantly, even without the first. I can't honestly believe Press is serious, I think he's winding us up.

No, because Bogut is significantly better than Cousins and isn't a complete nutjob like they already no Cousins is,

Bogut was hardly a model citizen his rookie year.

He's got (offensive) talent but they'll cut bait with this kid within a season, if they can get an allstar level big out of him they'll take it and never look back.

And they could be trading Jermaine O Neal for Dale Davis.

Landry is fine, but he's an expiring contract for the sake of this deal.

Not really. Landry would be our best PF.

It would be the very definition of a no brainer. Unless someone was insane enough to offer more I suppose.

Again, no. With Bogut's injury history, and Cousins' upside, it's not a no brainer. Would the Kings be getting a better deal right now? Maybe. But in 2-3 years Cousins could be a 20-10 guy while Bogut is missing 1/3 of every season.

I could probably do your trade as well. Or Bogut for Hibbert.

The bigger point is that this team is a mess right now with no blue sky anywhere in sight. You add Landry and Dalembert and suddenly you've got some reasonably legit bigs up front.

And with Cousins, I have no clue what he'll turn out to be, but he could be pretty good.

For Paul's benefit, we will send Gooden out with them to even up the salaries.

So Bogut/Gooden for Cousins, Dalembert and Landry.

Part of our problem right now is that Skiles has everything set to revolve around Bogut. So yes, his loss would be a huge hit on our defense. Give him time with these new guys and he'd figure it out.

Landry isn't an expiring contract? Ok.

As to the 'Bogut not being a model citizen' thing, he never did anything LIKE what Cousins has already done a month in. You didn't like some of the things he said, but he wasn't abusing coaches, getting fines and being tossed from practice. The two situations aren't close to comparable.

This deal is idiotic. There are several potential trades that I'd be OK with for Bogut, one for a nutbag who I wouldn't have wanted at 15 and two expiring deals isn't going to cut it. If he turns out a model citizen playing the game and living life close to the right way without causing his team/coaches any problems I'll eat some crow, but I'll extremely eagerly bet against that right now. He's not an over excited kid, he's a cancer waiting to grow and heave up 20 shots a night while being a turnstile on D.

You said for the sake of the deal. In the deal we would be upgrading our PF position, with a good chance at re-signing him. He would be our best PF.

Bogut's trump card is that he flipped off home fans. That to me is worse than anything Cousins does behind closed doors.

This deal is idiotic. There are several potential trades that I'd be OK with for Bogut, one for a nutbag who I wouldn't have wanted at 15 and two expiring deals isn't going to cut it. Yep, it's idiotic to explore a trade of our injury prone center for a guy that was just the #4 pick in the draft, and has the potential to be a beast. His character may be spotty, but we've crossed this bridge many times. Give me talent over character any day of the week, especially when you have a good head coach.

Also, getting a starting PF in the deal wouldn't be bad either.
