Starting to take aim these small forwards - Barnes, Perry, Terrence, even Vasely - as there's a better chance that we'll end up with one of them than Irving.
He's not strictly a 4, he can be a 3 thanks to his god-given ball-handling talent, the guy literally has handles like Odom, he's quick, he's very good at handling the ball in transition, able to find his teammates for layups or dunks, . He's also good at passing the ball when being double-teamed, in terms of being a wing defender, he can disrupt their shots because of his long arms, but I don't think he can handle the speedy wing players though. He played pretty good in last night's game because the other team has no one that can guard him so he exploits the mismatches, but if he played against an elite team with elite defenders then he'll completely disappear on offense. Being a 4 he can use his speed for mismatch but don't think he can guard a big man in the post.
Still I would take Perry over Barnes in a heartbeat because Perry can impact the game on both ends (pass the ball well, grab rebounds, block shots), even though Barnes is struggling now but from what I heard Barnes has a very outstanding work ethic. Heard that he had a solid performance in the team scrimmage but he wasn't happy with his shots so he returned to the gym immediately after the scrimmage, to practice his jump shots all day all night. I think soon or later he'll improve exponentially.
