ESPN Power Rankings
we are # 11 on Stein's rankings (with Hibbert on front of article), and #9 on Hollinger's statistical rankings. Wow, feels great to see Pacers back up there. Awesome night last night

I saw this earlier. We better finish this trip off 2-1 if we want this kind of accolade to be validated.

Re: ESPN Power Rankings
It's starting to appear as if the Pacers are a real "NBA" team. For years, we were just there, but now with the national media covering us more, its making us known again and we feel like a real team. However, last night on Sports Center, they aired about a minute clip of highlights from Lakers/Pacers and every single highlight except the Hibbert dunk with 20 seconds left was all Lakers. The box score at the end, was just Kobe, Gasol and Artest's scorelines. Kinda disappointing that they gave us zero love.

^^^ That sounds about right, unfortunately. Whenever a team like us, which isn't quite good enough to be covered on a nightly basis beats one of the top dogs, it's always the losing team's fault. There's no way that it could be the fact that we just outplayed them apparently. Bruno even said the same thing on a Pacers.com column - that ESPN would focus on what's wrong with the Lakers and not give us any love. That's okay, we'll just quietly keep making a name for ourselves.
Indy is also #11 on NBA.com.
If this keeps up, I doubt our national game on ESPN will be canned for a better matchup like last year.

I don't mind catching teams by surprise. They'll be the ones that suffer

I wonder where they'd have been placed had they not blown last minutes leads against the Magic and Thunder.

The exact same thing happened after the Miami game when ESPN felt obligated to show all of Wades misses, instead of our dominance. ESPN is a joke anymore, kind of like a dreaded 24 hr infomercial on LA and Miami when it comes to the NBA.
