lol... seriously.
Ronny is a great energy guy, but he's always been a piss poor defender and rebounder. He's one of those guys that tries to swat every shot into the 4th row, and that typically results in a foul or him getting burned. I'm not sure if he still plays this way because I haven't seen a single Knicks game this year, but that's pretty much who he was with the Lakers/Warriors.
Great energy and hustle guy though. He's one of those "fan favorite" type dudes.

You guys say same old Turiaf but his importance is more than numbers to the Knicks:
1) Amare doesn't have to guard the best opposing big, Turiaf does that.
2) Turiaf starts so it allows Chandler to come off the bench and give our bench a much needed boost.
3) With Turiaf playing, we don't have to rely as much on Mozgov who's a rookie center trying to learn the NBA.
It's more about depth and allows us to put other guys in more suitable roles.
As for Turiaf's actual play, he is surprisingly a good passer especially when we face zone defenses so it helps a guy like Amare who struggles when facing that kind of defense. And as far as challenging shots, Knicks are the top shotblocking team and we try to protect the rim so Turiaf certainly helps in that aspect.
Of course nobody is saying he's better than Harris, but he does make an impact for our team.
