Just a bad combination of players/skill set IMO.

Instead of signing LBJ and Bosh they would have done better to sign Joe Johnson and trade for Al Jefferson to team with Wade IMO.

More balance there.

I wish we had gone after LBJ, easiest sales pitch ever for MJ:

Im the only one whos ever done what you want to do, and I am the only one who can get you there....

Is that so hard?

You think Miami should have paid Johnson the max? Because they'd have to do that, not to mention that the Hawks might still have the edge on signing Johnson ahead of them.

Rather I think the heat should have invested in a PG, and another superstar..... Ex: Chris Paul and Chris Bosh.... Instead of LBJ and CB

I don't think Wade, LeBrick, and Bosh was the core they were targeting. Bosh wasn't the first choice

They should've gone with resigning Wade, then either Boozer, Amare, traded Beasley for a point guard, and gone after the best available big/centre in FA, then added some key role players to their bench.
That backcourt of Wade, Bron won't/can't work without a pass first pg, similar to Rondo.

as much as i hate it, those 3 will figure it out sooner or later and the bench will develop some roles. i fully expect them to go on several 5+ game winning streaks in the 2nd half of the year. the real test is the playoffs. i still think the lakers, celtics and magic are better playoff teams... this year. next summer the heat will make more adjustments and add more quality role players and then i expect their run for rings to start.

but i will be rooting like hell for them to fall apart, fight over shots and implode.

I expect them to trade either Miller or Haslem for a PG before the playoffs, if they come back strongly enough from their injuries.

no reason to give the heat a real pg. they wont use him. lebron cant play off the ball. wade can barely play off the ball. you want to add a 3rd person who needs the ball in their hands to that offense?

face it, lebron wont accept anything other than being the primary playmaker, so they need to build the team around that concept because he isnt going to change. wade has to accept his role of playing off the ball. they need to find a reliable shooter and defender at the guard spot to pair with wade and they need to find an enforcer in the middle to pair with bosh.

Yup. When more than half of your starters are selfish divas, you're going to have that issue.

IMO, I would have resigned Wade, signed Bosh, and signed Felton. I would have kept Beasley and signed Barnes instead of Miller. LeBron could have walked his ass to NY or LA because I'll easily take Wade over LeBron. With LeBron's salary (and Mike Miller's too since he was going with LeBron), you could have signed Felton, kept Beasley, grabbed Barnes, and signed someone else while keeping some cap space open to make a trade during the season.

Nope but I'll guess that they'll be just as overpriced as they are at Footlocker.

The Rockets beating the Lakers and is now in a 4-game skid just made up the awful loss of the Bobcats to the Hornets.

blake griffin is putting on another dunk show.

i cant decide if he reminds me more of a young larry johnson or a young shawn kemp. larry was smaller, but still as strong and athletic with better passing, handles and jumper. kemp wasnt quite as polished offensively and not quite the rebounder. lets hope griffin doesnt rip up his back like larry or get fat, crazy and become a drunk like kemp.

jesus kyle.... chill out. for those too lazy to look he had 35 points, 13 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 blocks. i dont care what league you play in, thats **** nasty. im pretty sure kyle weaver would take sheron collins to school. i thought weaver looked better as a rookie then collins does as a rookie. certainly weaver is much better now than he was as a rookie. i'm still surprised he isnt on a roster. he big for a guard, can handle, pass and defend both guard spots. there are plenty of guys like that who cant shoot and still hang around on the bench for years.

We've almost always done well with second-round picks. I think we ended up using the pick we got for Weaver on Robert Vaden; that's really worked out for us.

Now this is what I call a game. Not that performance we put up tonight against the Hornets.
