Re: Mike Brown??
"Defense" is the first word that pops up in my head when I think of Mike Brown. Thats all he ever talks about when coaching.
An Excellent defensive coach but a terrible offensive coach. He has no clue how to run an offense.
I still think Mike Brown can be successful as long as he has players on his team that can create their own shot or create shots for others.
So they can bail him out of his poor offensive coaching.
With Mike Brown you will improve defensively.

He's very good.
Defense is his specialty and he has a perceived weekness on the offensive end. It isn't clear wether that is due to an actual strategic difficiency or his inability to stand up to LeBron's demands.
He is a fascinating choice for a club that isn't exactly known for playing much defense at all.

He's like poor man's Don Nelson of defense cept Don Nelson know defense he just doesn't care and reason why he runs his systems is cause he likes it/wants to be experimental.
So that being said, I wouldn't want Mike Brown as my Head Coach, maybe assistant.

A few months ago I had some good things to say about Mike Brown. But watching B.Scott work with the group that we have........makes me wonder what could have been if he had a real coach

Re: Mike Brown??
I liked Mike Brown, but there was definitely times i became incredibly frustrated with his lack of in game adjustments...that is by far his worst characteristic. He also tends to play favorites, and keeps certain players in his "doghouse", sometimes for questionable reasons when said players could actually help. He lacks a true offensive scheme, relying on a "defense creates offense" philosophy...my last problem i had with him was his lack of developing young talent...he would give JJ and Boobie minutes and than pull them immediately upon the first mistake.. that being said, i wouldn't mind bringing him back as a defensive coordinator, but i see too many flaws in his coaching to recommend him

I hear that Mike Brown is coaching a middle school football team now. I am glad that he found a coaching job that matches his coaching talents.

Re: Mike Brown??
Maybe.. Mike Brown is a good coach and the Cavs failure to win a Championship was more due to Lebron than anything else. Obviously no way to prove this or disprove it...

Re: Mike Brown??
An outsider here - I think Brown was better than most give him credit for. I would prefer Scott as well as he is one of the best coaches in the league.
The problem I saw offensively was LeBron dominated the ball and controlled most of the offensive execution. Brown knew any standoff with LeBron would result in him losing his job. He was in a no win situation.
