Theres a very good chance we might end up with a wing player....

Which means Kleiza and Barbosa aren't gonna be here for awhile.

Then you have the Scoring PG's like Walker and Knight that are redundant to Bayless but have a higher ceiling most likely.

you never, ever pass on a guy just because you have a similar player already under contract... Bayless doesn't make anyone redundant... #1 Kemba Walker is probably better now, with more room to grow and #2 You still need to have a backup PG, nothing wrong with having similar types of players as the starter and backup for consistency.

If we end up drafting a wing, barbosa would be gone b4 kleiza would be. derozan + weems would share the sg duties & kleiza & our draftee would play the small. I'd draft a pg even if we dont have a chance at irving b4 I draft a C or SF. Unless we get Perry Jones or H.Barnes i'd take a shot at walker or knight

I don't know though, I would be hesitant to pass up Kanter or Terrance Jones for Walker or Knight. I think they need to be in the mix if we don't land a top 3 pick (although Barnes isn't looking all that great at this point.

I'd rather us sign a C than draft one right now. Drafting a C would would take this rebuilding process a lot longer than needed imho. I don't know much about Terrance Jones at the moment. Does he have elite wing potential? I unno i guess its just me tho but, unless we are getting an elite prospect at another position, I'd look to draft a pg.

Not saying that they should pass on Kanter or TJones for Walker. Just saying that if they feel that Kemba is the right pick at whatever position they are selecting, you don't worry about the 'but hey, we have Bayless already so lets skip Kemba..."

Quick research on T.Jones. I like it, looks like he can handle the ball and create for him & others. Very active on the boards too plus hes a lefty. Sounds like he has some elite potential, his skill sets fit the mold.

I'm not saying that either, that's why I said that they should all be in the discussion especially since its still early. And we shouldn't limit ourselves to one position.

Kemba Walker is an anomally, he looks good offensively but in today's new era of point guards in the NBA most of the elite pg's are pass-first PG's so I really don't know how well he'll fit in the NBA. As for the raptors I really do think we need a pass first pg more than a scoring pg and his last game he's recorded only 2 assist so I still have to wait to see how he progresses in that dept.

I wouldn't call westbrook, d.rose, arron brook past 1st pgs. Right now only CP3, Rondo, Nash are the elite pg's that are past 1st. I did see a report where they were raving about walkers true pg skills but are saying he can't really show that off going for 30 a night like his team needs him to. I personally am looking for an attacking, penetrating pg that can daw defenders for the dish.

you know what i'm getting really sick of... these empty 'pass first PG' labels.

Toronto had TJ, at first people loved TJ because he could break down his defender and penetrate... but because of how his career went everyone (well almost everyone) soured on that because he got selfish so they started clamoring for a Pass First PG... So Jose gets the nod, and he's definitely a pass first PG and alot of people aren't happy with that.

How about this team just gets a **** Good PG and go from there?

Derrick Rose is not necessarily a 'pass first PG', nor is John Wall... heck, Deron Williams is one of the top scorers on his team. These empty terms like 'pass first PG' are really starting to do my head in.

Dreamteam I think we're looking for the same type of PG, I'd think Kyrie Irving fits that mold but realistically it'll be a long shot if we'd ever have the chance to grab him. As for Kembe the difference I see with Kembe compared to the likes of D.Rose or J.Wall is the fact D.Rose can attack but also has the the court vision to look for his teammates just like J.wall, as for Kembe he does have the talent to knock down shots and also attack the net but I've yet to see if he has the court vision to dish out while attack or involve his teammates which is crucial at the PG position, while I dont follow NCAA basketball that much and so I don't know how hard it is to dish out assists but his assists numbers don't look that great to me this season.

but I did read the scouting report and it did say that he does have the court vision to look for his teammates and I did watch the mixtape even though I shouldn't be relying on a mixtape but I do believe he has those skills I just want him to show it this season.

Duke vs Michigan State on right now. Kyrie just blocked some guy, came down awkwardly on his ankle. He's not on the floor anymore.

Look at that sneaky steal from Irving and being so vocal around the teammates, I'm liking this guy even more now
