But if i were to regret anything. I would regret not trading amare for Michael Beastly! :(

Trix is dead on - the minority who were saying we should go after Beas were right, and we could have got him for nothing. He would have beasted here .... and we'd have another small forward, so win/win

I think that is the missing peice is another SF!

I don’t regret it all. I also think Clev did not want to part with Hickson. The big loss was Amare.

The only thing Suns will regret now and long term is they let Amare walk in the summer.

lol even with Hickson, we'd still be where we are right now, except we wouldn't have had that amazing WCF run last season.

I think the better question to ask Suns fans is, would you trade the WCF run for JJ Hickson?

No.

The WCF was one of the best series of basketball I have ever seen in my entire life. Every play, from Dragic's spin move on Derek Fisher in Game 4, the raining down of the threes in the second quarter in the same game, or J-Rich's banked in 3 in the end of Game 5.... they are still fresh in my mind and still give me goosebumps.

The WCF run was one of the most memorable playoffs runs in Phoenix Suns history. it was exciting and amazing, but in the end, heartbreaking. But that is basketball. That is why we love the game so much.

It was so amazing to be live at that game. My first Suns home game ever, and my brother and I drove all the way from this hellhole LA, and it was the WCF....just amazing. What a game, what a performance, what a win.

No chance in HELL I trade any of that playoff run for JJ **** Hickson.

I just cannot believe no one boxed Artest out.

Watching those highlights now. They're making me shiver with excitement. It really makes me wonder, why did we break up a team like that? Now thinking about it, I think I wouldn't have minded giving Amare that 100mil 5 year contract, keeping Lou and Barbs, and giving it one more damn crack.

No regret at all. we get similar production from Warrick. Hickson 11.8, 5.8 - Warrick 12.8, 4.8.

If I regret anything JJ Hickson related, it's not getting him for Shaq.

But he rarely crosses my mind. I often forget he's in the league.

This.

I think that's the only way I would have been happy with the way we would have acquired Hickson. I dunno if Hickson was ever discussed seriously as a throw-in for Shaq but we would've been major winners if we had gotten Cleveland to throw him in.

I was pissed when we let Shaq go for basically nothing. A multiple All Star, past MVP and future HOF-er should warrant at least a first round pick, or someone like JJ Hickson regardless of his age.

I think you were correct that Cleveland did not want to pull trigger on Hickson deal. Danny Ferry made a big to do about aquiring Jameson without having to part with Hickson.
