And with how Evan Turner has been looking, I'm honestly thinking that aside from Wall, there isn't a single player in this draft I would rather have then Favors and in the end, maybe over Wall.

I'm still keeping my fingers crossed that we keep this kid.

I know it's the allure of youth and potential and we all think our players are going to be the ones to become stars, but this kid is gonna be a beast. I don't know that he ever sees anything like Dwight, but a true beast none the less.

In the end though, as much as I am anti Melo if Favors is the price, I would obviously still be cautiously optimistic if we acquired him.

According to ESPN.com, the Yankees and the agent for Derek Jeter have not been negotiating since at least the holiday weekend, with the Yankees waiting until Jeter and agent Casey Close “drink the reality potion,” according to a source cited by the article.

Well, I think it's more on Jeter if he doesn't resign, he's old and fading fast, 4 or 5 seasons at $20 million + is absurd for him, even if he has been the face of the Yankees for the last decade +...

I think its ridiculous giving Jeter $23 mil annually, especially considering how old he is, I think Jeter definitely needs to drink the "reality potion". In all honesty though, only the Yankees would give him that money so if they say no, then he's gonna end up somewhere else with considerably less money, I think what the Yanks have offered him is reasonable.

What the Yankees have offered him is beyond reasonable, it's basically a thank you and reward for being such a good player and off field personality and ambassador of the game for the Yankees for so long.
He's a slightly above average offensive player and a straight up liability on the diamond.
He's only going to get progressively worse with each passing season.
I wouldn't be surprised if he had a major drop off this coming season.

I think his D is still pretty good, it might not be as it was a few years ago, but his awareness around the diamond is still stellar, his arm strength is still pretty good, as seen from some of his highlight throws last year.

It'd be VERY difficult to imagine Jeter wearing a jersey besides the Yankees, but from the looks of thins unless he drops his demands, I know some (Please Use More Appropriate Word) team (take my Mets for example) will snap him up for the amount he wants. Bare in mind we also are listening to offers for Reyes, so a sign and trade might be in order. (I hate our management at times, but I'm hoping the Mets new management takes things slow and not just rush into it).

Nah, his range is atrocious.

In other news, I find it hilarious that Dexmor is now a Knicks fan.

I'm just glad we won't have to endure his ''we need a pg'' thread directly followed by a ''earl boykins is available thread while three minutes later we see another thread discussing a deal where we get boykins.

For those of you who are interested all NBDL games are online for free via the NBDL website:

Click futurecast. T-Will playing right now, has already taken one ridiculously bad floating flip shot in the lane.

That was quite funny, but tamar made us look like a bunch of idiots.

And ROFLCOPTER at Knick fans claiming how good their D is with Turiaf when you put it so bluntly, they're 28th in opposing PPG and in the bottom 10 in opposing FG%
