Philly/Houston is an interesting Thursday nighter. We'll see just how flukish that shutout last weekend was for the Texans defense. I do worry a bit about Philly though.

My picks should be up any time now, sent them in before lunch. Some tough games to pick this weekend: CLE/MIA, WAS/NYG, BAL/PIT, IND/DAL, NYJ/NE.

Andy Reid got so lucky that Mike Vick worked out, the Eagles would be horrible without him.

Typical Texans--show just enough to be very competitive but crack under the slightest pressure.

Game ball to Brent Celek for the great 3rd down conversion and then the beautiful moving pick on Cushing to allow Schmitt to score the sealing TD.

I was so right about the Texans, even after everyone jumped the wagon after the Colts win, in so many ways.

1) Andre Johnson won't hit 10 TDs again, something he's never done, which is SAD for a guy called "hands down the best receiver in the league" and all this other crap. For a guy in a pass happy offense with plenty of scoring opportunities, and the fact that he is targeted and has more catches than like anyone, I expect more from him. The David Carr excuse doesn't work any more. On a good note, I love him way more than I did since he beat up Finnegan.

2) Brian Cushing would crash hard in the wake of not having his juice

3) The Texans themselves were fools gold, and even though they are bound to break through as the "surprise team" since they are picked every year, this one wasn't it.

The Texans should draft a corner this year and trade a 2012 1st/3rd for Ed Reed.

matt schaub underthrows a wide open Andre Johnson, robbing him of so many TDs. Schaub isnt that good.

Agree with this. Why is Andre considered hands down the best receiver when hes not much of a touchdown scorer?
I don't see what makes him better than Wayne, Roddy, D Jackson, C Johnson, Fitz etc.

Also tonight was a terrible day for my fantasy team. I was up against a team consisting of Vick, McCoy, Andre, and Arian Foster. 90 points down after 1 game.

Jim Leonhard out for season.

Jets are already thin at Safety with Eric Smith and now Brodney Pool starting. ST Coordinator Westhoff says Cotchery will be returning punts (I don't see why Brad Smith can't do both).

Favre got injured real early and is out for the game.

Tavares came in and threw a 50 yard pass to sidney rice from his goal line.

If Tavares plays well, looks like the streak stops at 297. It has to...

Sounds like Favre is done. About damn time, thank you Arthus Moats!

Jason Pierre Paul is quickly becoming a monster. 2 sacks already and he also rocked a run play.

Tennessee has flat-out quit. Chris Johnson isn't even trying to break tackles or make moves.

Crowd now chanting R-A-N-D-Y since the Titans haven't figured out that he is the only future hall-of-famer on this roster.
