That way, Arenas is in the game at the end of every quarter (not just the 2nd and 4th) to run the isolation play. I also like the idea of giving the coaching staff a chance to discuss game conditions with Wall early on. Arenas has the experience to adapt to game conditions, Wall still could use a coach's advice.

i was thinking more about giving wall the extra rest (time to talk) over the quarter break but i think your idea is better. it's a lot easier to do the pull aside and coach up moment early in the half when things are still settling in. it also allows gil to set the pace. the one caveat and it's not really a caveat is i think hinrich at the point is good for change of pace, slow it down half court play when we need to just grind out some time and points. there's a time and place for that but im not sure when exactly (im way too seat of my pants for that sort of micromanagement planning ahead).

Obviously the rotation can be tweaked as necessary. If Arenas is playing terrible and Wall is playing well, then Kent comes in for Arenas. I'd also be ready to insert Nick Young instead of Hinrich, or to pull Hinrich early and replace him with Young if Hinrich has defensive mismatches or if he's pounding the ball.

definitely agree. arenas has been playing really well with young and a certain confidence is instilled in young when they are out there together.
Until Grunfeld goes there is no rebuild.
