OT: ESPN Sunday Night Baseball

Post#1 » by L3M0NAD3 » Thu Dec 2, 2010 7:17 pm

As per wiretap -

Dan Shulman, Orel Hershiser and Bobby Valentine will be in the booth for ESPN's "Sunday Night Baseball" next season, the network announced Wednesday.

The team replaces Jon Miller and Joe Morgan, whose contracts were not renewed after last season. Miller and Morgan had been the voices of "Sunday Night Baseball" for 21 seasons.

Congrats to local boy Dan Shulman.
I always enjoyed his play by play on the good old days of TSN Blue Jays baseball. I wish we could have got him back instead of Buck doing the play by play.

I can't stand Shulman's voice. It's like Mozart - too perfect. And he never turns it off, at least not during his frequent Fan590 appearances.

Does he use that voice in bed with his wife?

Miller and Morgan had their problems, but it will be weird watching Sunday night baseball without them.

Any chance they can come in and replace Buck?

I thought Shulman did a great job with the games I've seen him call for ESPN and I think ESPN realised that and how good of a voice he has for calling games. I just think they waited for the right moment with this since ESPN Sunday Night Baseball is their flagship baseball program.
