see!!!

this is what i mean

the canucks can't handle the stars positional play which no other team is better at.

look at the experience the stars throw out there on PK.

modano - alltime american scoring leader
lehtnen- multiple time selke winner
zubov-perrenial norris candidate, best quarterback for a PP in the nhl
sydor-just a solid defender with great leadership skills who won a cup with tampa bay as well when he went there

those 4 guys were also part of hte core group that went to the finals 2 years in a row back in 1998-1999 and in 1999-2000.

also part of the group that was constantly among the elite teams with Detroit,Colorado, New Jersey, etc.

they know each other pretty well.

the canucks took advantage of the expected quick pace early in game 1 and got a few lucky bounces off the glass and dallas D, but it won't happen anymore.

if they can't find a way to keep a game at a certain pace in vancouver, imagine how hard it will be in dallas when dave tippett gets last line change and will always be able to have zubov on teh sedin line.

the stars are just going to suffocate the canucks from here on out.

I agree with what you are saying, but the goals the Canucks scored in game 1 were legit. I think Dallas is the better team and I think they will win.

ya, 4 of the 5 were legit by rules, im just saying that 2 of those 4 were also flukey.

dallas also is a bigger animal than their record says

they have 107 points (actually more than vancouver's 105) but they have had injury problems like no other.

modano just came back from an extended time out. and eric lindros (like always lol) has missed nearly every game.

brendan morrow(captain) was out for 2+months and the stars still finished with a great record in a tough, tough pacific division.

look at the records for dallas with modano and without.

iirc, teh stars are 37-10 w/modano and 10-11 w/o modano

you go from nice gaudy winning record to below .500 w/o him

of course that's expected but since he's here and ready for the playoffs, expect the stars to win both games in dallas.

the last time the stars were fully healthy was at the beginning of hte year and they started out 9-0 i believe lol.

I just saw the attendance numbers from last night, and I found it odd that Detroit was 800 tickets short of selling out (something they ALWAYS do) and irritating that only 15,000 people were there in New Jersey. What's going on?

New Jersey is a terrible sports town period, the Devils and Nets have never had a good fan-base. I'm not surprised at that.

Wow. I am surprised about the Detroit situation. New Jersey doesn't. Hopefully when they get the new arena, things will change. I've heard East Rutherford is a terrible place for an arena.

Also, the Pens game on Sunday wasn't sold out. Games "b" and "c" are sold out but I got my hands on 2 tickets last night on ticketmaster. I'm guessing they were put on reserve for people and never sold. I am going to check right now to see if people bought them.

If New York goes on to win this series, they are going to be a tough team to play. Jagr is playing great again.

Man, I was really hoping for the Thrashers to at least make it out of the first round.

Nice job by the Pens though to even up the series.

Detroit is absolutely dominating Calgary in the first two games of this series

Pens got their butts kicked. I thought home ice would have helped them. The atmosphere in the first period was amazing. And then the Sens shut the crowd up. I am disappointed.
