Hardly our biggest problem, Sap had the only good game of the starting 5. Jefferson has got to get consistent for us to become a contender. Big time wake up call in this game. No reason they should have played that bad.

I don't know why Jefferson doesn't dunk the ball more often. He has a lot of point blank layups come out of the basket, you might as well jam the ball and make sure you get the two points.

I'm hoping it has a lot to do with his finger and not being scared of dunking in general.

I'd have to say your threshold for a "good game" is somewhat different than mine. His box score might be okay but I thought MIlsap was pathetic tonight. The only guy that played with any heart tonight was Fes.

I thought it was a bad move expecting Sap to guard Dirk. We should always have AK on him, he is the only one that gives us any chance of disrupting him. I would rather have Sap get torched by Butler than get towered over by Dirk. Nobody can guard the guy, much less a guy with short arms that is 4-5 inches shorter. Dirk does not play like a PF, why do you have to have a PF guard him?

Dallas flat out smoked us tonight, they are legit. They are my new pick for the Western Conference crown....

We obviously didn't play our best game tonight but we go destroyed by Dallas too. I give them all the credit for this one, they just wanted it way more than we did.

Pretty embarrassing to have a game like that on ESPN... especially for D-Will after he wins WCPOTM. He got outplayed by Kidd and Barea....

Also, the crowd was horrid tonight. Not only was everyone as flat as the team but there was some idiots sitting down by the Dallas bench yelling at Chandler and Butler who made themselves and the Utah fan base look like complete fools/idiots/white trash. Had to stop myself from getting up and chewing them out...that was more embarrassing than the loss.

One more thing...I completely agree about everyone being terrible but Fes.

Hopefully we take this as we did the Spurs loss and it fuels us next week against some good teams. we get this same team next saturday and i expect us to use this game as a motivating factor for that one.

The mavs have played two games against Denver, NO, and Memphis already, we split in each series.. so I figure you guys have a good shot to even the score next week. But the 2 Denver and NO games were back to back, so it might be different.

Well it sucks that we played so poorly, but at least we didn't lose any ground with NO, or OKC.

+1. Its almost like he read the wrong scouting report. He was almost daring Dirk to take the jumpers.

pinning this loss on Millsap's defense is ridiculous. Nowitzki is a matchup problem waiting to happen. And if I remember correctly Paul wasn't the only one defending him tonight.

Just fyi, Millsap has long arms. 7 ft wingspan is part of the reason he plays so big.

While our play could only be described as "muy terible," there were some positives in this game.

We were great on the defensive boards for once. And to be honest... holding the mavs to 93 points (even if they shot a high %) shows how different this team is from last year.

Offense is correctable, defense is a lot harder to improve. Plus this mavs team is playing out of their mind right now, so chalk one up for a bad game and move on.

Don't think anyone is saying Millsap's defense is why we lost, just saying it wasn't good.
