Blatche, Hinrich and Martin were +8. Armstrong was +5. Thornton -7 and Yi -4. Everybody else was close to 0 (plus or minus 2)

IMO, it's a two-man race for POTG between McGee and Blatche. Both guys played very, very well on D. It was their best defensive outing of the season. I think I'm going to give it to Blatche, mainly to positively reinforce him for the effort he put forth out there. He didn't even play that well on offense, but his effort and tenacity on defense was enough for us to win this game. That's a lesson that I hope sticks with him. You can bring defensive effort every night and win ugly, even if the shots aren't falling.

1. Blatche
2. McGee
3. Hinrich

I watched the replay 'cause I took the wife to see "Black Swan" last night. [Good horror flick, I recommend it.] I went with Blatche, narrowly, over McGee. Both astonishingly played good defense, but I'm a bit more shocked that Blatche did it.

I don't see how Gil is getting votes here...

Can't wait to see Black Swan.

I went with Blatche & McGee 1 & 2, I'm hoping to see more of the AB we saw last night on a regular basis.

According to BR this is only the 4th time this has ever been done in the Bullets/Wizards uniform. At least 4th since the 1986/87 season
2nd time this has been done in the NBA this season.

I swear it was just weeks ago when McGee was a fouling machine. He bit on every pump fake. Couldn't stay on the court.

The progress of McGee and Nick Young over the season has been outstanding.

Give this one to Dray by a nose, though. McGee a close second.

Yup. Their progress has been one of the few positives this year.

Wish I could have watched this game, it's been a while since I've seen the Wizards play good defense, and I guess they did last night.

Gil should be getting some love he set up atleast 5 easy dunks for our big men early in the first half when we needed every point we could get. Yeah I agree his shot has been terrible the last 3 or 4 games but atleast he's doing other things.

As for Player of the Game:

1. Blatche- Good defense and big points down the stretch. I can't remember Blatche missing a big free throw down the stretch this season.

2. McGee- Continues his developement, I thought Flip left him on the bench to lon g in the fourth, but I guess im just nitpicking.

3. Hinrich- Still think he's overated on defense, especially compared to our other guards. He did have a pesky night on defense though. Again he still pounds the damn ball to much.

I'm with you on wanting to give that credit and message to Dray, but I'm going to give the nod to McGee. He really cleaned things up with those blocks. He is staying down a lot better. And he was even patient with his offense, only taking 6 shots which some were ally opps or but backs. I'm more impressed with the strides he has taken, then I am of the ones Dray has this year. You can actually see McGee maturing and his game changing right before your eyes. I think McGee breaking out is even more important then Dray. We can get by with Dray basically doing what he has been so far. Better D would help. So would him hitting his outside shot better. But McGee is way improved from last year.

1. McGee - he deserves the props.
2. Dray - nice to see some tougher D
3. Kirk - for all the hate he gets gives effort on D every night.

But even though Wall didnt post great numbers, you can feel the effect of his attack and D effort when he is on the active roster. That is what we were missing. Wall, McGee and Nick are sparks. Loosing any one of them or even worse, more then one of them, really effects the energy of the total team.

Taking into consideration that we have lost one or more of them for most of our games then not, this team may still actually be able to do something this year. Young team are fragile. Loosing a Wall or a Nick or a McGee has a huge effect.

I hope we get Nick back soon.

Since McGee broke out and then Nick did, I don't know that Wall, Nick and McGee have all been healthy at the same time. Once we have that, I think we will have a better idea of what this team will look like moving forward. Should be interesting to see what we look like with a full roster.

Oww, then we get Howard to add to them. That should be a nice spark.

1. Blatche - got to reward that type of effort.

2. McGee - great all around game. Wish we'd actually give him the ball in the post a few times per game.

3. Gil - His outside shot was off, but he played well especially in the first half when nothing was going right for us.

HM - Hilton Armstrong. He wasn't a difference maker but for a minimum salary vet, he's definitely a positive. I thought that when McGee went out in the first half, Neck came in and played just as well on both ends of the floor.
