Play Godnani at Point Center?

Post#1 » by Jerry Curl » Sat Dec 4, 2010 10:06 pm

I don't see why this has not been at least tried. He was pretty much a SF coming out of Italy, and was force fed weight gainer and stuck in the low post by BC. We should have developed him as a Lamar Odom type. We should give him the ball with more opportunities to handle it and make plays like Disco.

Hes never shown a consistent passing ability. A few flashy passes doesnt make a guy a point forward. Chris Webber was a point forward

He really has a good passing abilities not so much used till now. Point Center is the best definition about the future development on this aspect of his game.

He has good handles, but he doesn't protect the ball well enough to be a volume ball handler. He's a decent passer for a center. I'd say average. But one thing he does not have is decent court-vision.
Stick to swinging the ball on the perimeter, a few high-low feeds (which he can do pretty well) and maybe learn to bounce pass to a slasher, but you can't ask much more than that for now. He will probably never be a drive and dish kinda guy.

People will just never be satisfied.

I don't get why he doesn't play like a 7 foot Michael Jordan.. he should try that.. with that height advantage, he could be even better than MJ!
