Drabek at the 4 and Stewart at the 5 provided neither is traded this offseason perchaps is the plan?

i remember people (management, front office, I do'nt recall) mentioning that Stewart may be headed to the bullpen. But if this opens up a spot for Stewart, I'd love to see what he has to offer!

Could you imagine a response by AA in a joint press conference with Melvin -- "Ya, we totally won this trade. We love trading with the Brewers!" lol.

If it's just to get prospects, it's indicative of a salary dump and the cheapness of Rogers Communications.

So yeah, not a big fan of this right now.

Salary dump?

Marcum made less than a million last season

This deal is all about getting a young, talented Canadian infielder into the system

Yeah the quality was beautiful HD, but every 15sec or so it would pause and re-buffer. I tried with Chrome and with IE8.

Can't help but feel the Marcum and Bautista situations were analogous. With Bautista, either he's a one year wonder or he's a legit stud we'd lose cause we wouldn't be able to pay another big money guy at the same time as Wells, and I'd be worried about him pulling a Wells post contract even if he was great next year.

With Marcum either he gets injured soon, or he's good enough by the time of his payday that we have to pay big and hope he doesn't get injured after that.

I wouldn't have been opposed to going "let it roll!" with both Bautista and Marcum the next 2 years, along with Ramirez and Greinke if we could go in on them. If you want to compete in the AL East you have to roll the dice in a move involving wild cards like that, in this case 4

But it's pretty clear AA is thinking post 2012 now
It's going to be a glorious day... I feel my luck could change

Found what I was talking about...
“Though the numbers don’t look the same, he and Kyle Drabek, down the stretch, were neck-and-neck,” Anthopoulos said. “The way Zach pitched the last few months, he’s not as highly-touted but he’s as good a prospect as Kyle Drabek.”

So what's the recap? I heard AA talking about 3B. Was he saying Lawrie could be moved there?
