DBrimstone wrote:Kemba Walker looks phenomenal. If he drops to us, I agree with the idea of taking him and having him be the starter with Dragic playing the 6th man role. We would, however, need to either land gasol or make a deal for a real PF to fill the gaping hole in our front line... Or resign Clark pending a good finish to the season, play more Lawal, or something of that sort

Aside from him though, I'd rather draft a big. Already named my favorites so there's no point in beating a dead horse

I still have to narrow down my PF's, but if i was the FO, this is what i would do:

Before the trade deadline:
1st Trade: Nash/Hill to ORL for Bass/Gortat/Williams/1st
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=2fswgvf
2nd Trade: Lopez to NJ for Williams.
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=2c7ru5x
3rd Trade: PHX/SAC/DEN 3 way
Hedo to Sac - Jrich/Garcia to DEN - Thompson/Martin/Smith to PHX

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=2b5apwm
Trade Frye to NY for Randolph/Turiaf
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=2b9d98n

After the season let Turiaf/Martin/Smith/J.Williams expire. ($27 million).

Free Agents:
Sign Marc Gasol as a FA ($10-12 Million).
Sign Brooks ($6M) or Chalmers ($4M) or both!($10M)

Draft:
Draft Kemba Walker with our 1st pick, Draft Lucas Nogueira with the ORL pick.

Turn Dragic into Ginobilli.

Pray for no lock-out.

Walker/Brooks/Chalmers
Dragic/Childress/Dudley
Williams/Clark/Dudley
Bass/Thompson/Randolph/Lawal
Gasol/Gortat/Nogueira

Also under the cap FTW! :D

Dragic won't start at SG for us. He's too small. I would rather have CHildress start and Dragic off the bech as a Barbosa role.

I wish we could do that ORlando trade without Gortat. All he's going to do is take minutes away from Nogueria. Maybe we can get ORL to give us Pietrus instead?

I'd rather take Gortat than Pietrus. Hell we could trade Gortat to a team looking for a C. He has way more value than Peitrus does.

I used to like Pietrus but his game has developed in the opposite direction to what I was expecting. Right now he's just a defender who chucks 3's. I thought he would've developed more versatility by now.

No chance we're gonna blow it up though. So realistically we just need to let one of our wing players go. Probably the 38 year old who's former agent is president of operations rather than the 30 and 27 year old who's former agents are president of operations. So we digress to the first thing discussed. A big scary center. I'd prefer that center go by the name of Mason Plumlee, Enes Kanter, Jonas Valanciunas, or possibly Renardo Sydney. Then we could actually have a big man rotation

Plumlee's super athletic and has a very good motor
Kanter's skilled and technical, like a Brook Lopez
Valanciunas is more or less Plumlee. Super tall athletic motorific white guy
Sydney's supposed to have matured alot over the passed year. Read a really good article on him. If his motivations there he could be a good pick

2. Kemba Walker, Connecticut: It seems like Connecticut point guard Kemba Walker has been around forever but, regardless of how long he's been on the scene, the 6-0, 180 lb., Huskies star has turned himself into one of the top lead guards in all of college basketball this season. With a lightning quick first step and a amazing ball-handling ability, Walker has shown the ability to get to any point on the basketball floor with ease and has transformed himself into the nation's leading scorer. As impressive as he has been scoring the basketball, however, Walker has been equally extraordinary as a leader and multi-dimensional player for head coach Jim Calhoun's young Connecticut team. With former seniors Gavin Edwards, Stanley Robinson and Jerome Dyson all playing professional basketball on some level, Walker has taken the reins of the UConn basketball program, leading a team that was unranked in the preseason to a Top-10 ranking and wins over Michigan State and Kentucky, en route to a Maui Invitational title last month. On top of averaging 29.1 points per game, the junior is chipping in 5.6 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 2.1 steal while shooting .533 from the field and .425 from beyond the arc.

Ranked as the 2nd best PG in the draft according to Hoopsworld.

Check the mans stats! Averaging 29 points (53%FG 42%3PT), 5.6 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 2.1 steals!

I've seen 5 minutes of Kemba in my life and it was amazing. Seriously, the kid's absurd. It's just a matter of sucking bad enough to get him, and getting a big so we don't need to draft one

Might not have to suck that bad, according to NBADraft.net:

But then again, DraftExpress.com has him at #7. :(

Im afraid everyone in basketball is learning what makes Kemba great. :(

He is now ranked #3 on Hoopsworld and #7 on Draftexpress. :(

Here is the current Hoopsworld mock:

wait what is it that makes him great? His speed, leadership, competitive nature, very very improved outside shooting, or playmaking ability? Cause I'm not sure

Kerrsed wrote:Well this might clear some things up about his current situation:

2. Lucas Nogueira 7-0 210 C Estudiantes (Brazil) 1992

Nogueira’s name emerged in a big way following the FIBA Americas Championship for the under 18 division where he blocked better than 5 shots per game and had a 22 point, 14 rebound performance against the United States. He followed that showing up with another strong tournament in the Nike Global Challenge facing many of the best high school seniors-to-be from the US. At this point, his record against juniors is beyond reproach, but the concerns for Nogueira surround his very thin frame, and whether he will be able to replicate his success from the junior level against grown men. While the measureable height and wingspan of Nogueira will translate, the comfort level of opposition to facing a 7-footer will change dramatically as will their physical strengths and abilities. Asefa Estudiantes of Madrid has him under contract, but it would be surprising if he is not loaned out to a club in a lower division. With a contract buyout estimated to be slightly above $1.5 million, it only makes sense for him to enter the 2011 Draft and come over if his starting salary is well in excess the $1 million he would have to shoulder. With the possibility of a lockout still looming, Nogueira and his agents may be able to boost his draft stock by selling teams on the fact that he can stay in Spain for another season to avoid lost development time in the event of a work stoppage. Given the raw state of his skills and thinness of his body, it might be his best hope of going high in the draft.

I read somewhere that this kid has potential but is very skinny. He would need to gain like 60 lbs to keep from being snapped like a twig by NBA centers.

Says Kemba walker is a 20yo Junior. Did he start college when he was 17? And he's stayed in college through his junior year which is a rarity nowdays and is very positive in my eyes.

Means he probably has a brain to go along with his athleticism = young Nash. Can we trade up in the draft to get him?

Any draft experts reading this: Suns end up with the 13th pick in the draft. How do we trade down (or up) to the top 3? Goran Dragic plus our 1st for another teams number 3 pick? Can you trade your pick on successive years?

Why isn't Kyrie Irving on that list?

Doesn't look to small next to Dwight. He doesn't have as big of guns, but looks pretty good, especially for a young kid. Dwight was only 15 pounds heavier at that age. I think this kid would easily fill out his frame.

SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.
