At one point during the second quarter, I really thought T-Mac was going to pull a LeBron. It felt great to boo him.

My guess is that Adelman wanted Lee in the game for defense. The Rockets already had the lead and he probably didn't want one of the Pistons' guards to go off on Martin.

I doubt it. Lee was getting destroyed by McGrady in the 1st half. Jefferies was in to slow down McGrady.

so did lowry keep it a secret he's practicing 3pters this offseason? i dunno if he can keep up 3-4 3pters, but it looks like he'll be an average 3pt shooter

That's the good thing about players who are good at things other than shooting. Lowry can come back and say, hey, this summer I worked my ass off on my poor 3-point shot; Brooks can't come back and say, hey, this summer I worked my ass off on my selfishness, poor court vision, stoned-out-of-my-mind aimless sleepwalking/dribbling, and lethargy on defense.

they booed him when he fouled Battier in 2nd half too

you can't practice at something you are really bad
look at Shaq free throws
he worked on it every off-season and still suck
Lowry is good at shooting (look at his FT%)
he just doesn't have the range for NBA 3PTS previously
that's easier to fix just need to practice
if all your shots are way off (like hitting the damn backboard) you are not going to improve much

only mavs, spurs, lakers, jazz (wow, my 4 most hated teams) will finish with better record for sure, hornets and thunder probably, that makes 2 more places in the playoffs.

the thing is we already had problems to fix before the season started - yao ming, new roster, chemistry, defense. now we have even more problems with injuries, missing wide open shots, defensive presence in the paint, rick with questionable coaching decisions. i'm not so sure we can get this team rolling at all this season. we needed yao to play the first 2 months, so we can increase his minutes to 29 by jan/feb. who knows if our shooters will play better when they have brooks and yao to feed off of.

it's not like the shots are gonna get easier, the first 2 months are the least competitive. we have been playing better as of late, and not like we're getting blown out. but still, like in the bulls game instead of fouling we decide to "earn the win"? right now we dont need to "earn wins", or win like a champ, we just need to win period. maybe if we had a good record we can try to earn a win, but right now we need wins, and that was just terrible, probably one of ricks worst coaching decisions in houston or as a coach in general.

Scola was ON last night, he didn't miss a thing, and the chemistry he and Lowry are developing is very encouraging. And what the hell has happened to Budinger, he was completely exposed defensively, and offensively he's missing every shot, and not even finishing at the rim. He'll probably turn it around, but I wouldn't be completely opposed to the idea of Jeffries getting more minutes.

I don't think the boos were necessary for McGrady, but it is what it is.
