GT: Warriors vs. Spurs

Post#1 » by Nolan » Tue Dec 7, 2010 4:40 pm

When: 8:30 PM ET, December 8, 2010
Where: AT&T Center, San Antonio, TX

Starting Lineups:

Warriors:
PG - Stephen Curry
SG - Monta Ellis
SF - Dorell Wright
PF - David Lee
C - Andris Biedrins

Spurs:
PG - Tony Parker
SG - Manu Ginobli
SF - Richard Jefferson
PF - Tim Duncan
C - Dejuan Blair

We're coming off a dominating performance against the Hornets where we played great on both ends. Hopefully we can repeat that performance on Wednesday against the Warriors. The key to beating the Warriors is going to be containing thier backcourt. We need to play Curry tight and we can't give him open looks, we've gotta make him work for his points. Meanwhile we have to keep Ellis out of the paint and make him into jumpshooter.

Go Spurs!!

Our shooting in the NO game was amazing, particularly in the 2nd quarter. Hope we can keep it up.

We should take this one. We're at home, we're rested.

3 days to rest+20 mins against NOH, should be a big difference for tonight match up against a team that is coming into a b2b game..

The keys for this game are what Nolan said before. We need a good scoring night so as to not playing major minutes..And defense, of course..

Golden State is on the 2nd night of b2b after a tough loss againts Dallas. There is no reason for the Spurs to lose this game unless they came out with the mindset that they're just gonna walk all over the Warriors. IMO Spurs win this by double digits.

Judging by the first quarter, the Spurs will probably blow this team out. I stopped counting but we got our first 16 points at the paint. Dejuan is having an awesome night.

In fact, I don't recall we've made an outside shot yet.

We are starting to make great things with our D..

as we thought before the game, Warriors looked tired. The bench had a lot of minutes.
Timmy with 17 minutes and a DNP for Dice.. All players under 27 minutes..
Hope we can continue like this..and hope Dallas lose a game..lol

Nice win. We kept getting a big lead, the W's kept chipping it back. Then we'd build it up again.

Blair was great in this game, a double-double before halftime. Great game from him overall, his best of the season.

Hill seemed to hit everything tonight. He's sweating confidence.

TD with limited minutes, he looked decent when he was out there.

Anyone know why Dice got the DNP?

18-3. Can't complain about that.

I don't think it's because of anything with Dice. I remember Pop saying stuff about us having too many bigs and really I think Pop choose between Splitter and Dice. In big games where Splitter don't play, that second unit has Bonner, Dice, Hill, and Neal on it usually with Manu. When Splitter plays, he basically replaces Dice there.

This game was in the bags from the first quarter.

Good win this one was over at halftime. Blair played amazing, TP was great as always and the bench played great.
