its more than just playing in dantoni's system... ray was always better suited for uptempo.

we all knew his numbers would improve with the knicks but i dont think any of us thought ray would be putting up these kinds of numbers with these %s so fast.

Wow what an ending to the knicks game. Amar'e hitting HUGE shots going back and forth with Bargnani then Raymond with the crazy big 3 to win it at the end. Amar'e getting MVP chants from the Garden!

Bargnani was a good fantasy pick. He's did amazing tonight.

EDIT: I actually have Bargs and Amar'e. Combined for over 115 together :)

This is right. Every year plenty of people suggested Ray would be best suited to an up-tempo offense. Lo and behold, when he joins one, he starts playing the best year of his career. I maintain the FT% is more or less a fluke, but the rest is indicative of how the system is suited to him.

If someone told me 18 and 8.5, I wouldn't think it was insane.

LB explains why he's playing McGuire over UPS. Makes sense to me.

The fact that you don't remember who it is tells you. Chris Duhon right? Or was it Eddie House? Or both? I know Nate Robinson was there.

I think it was Duhon as the starter. He wasn't anything to write home about.

Only in Russia. Only Russians and Canadiens in Russia. Notice it is the very beginning of the game. I'm glad Jágr didn't play but it doesn't matter who got injured instead. Things like that are reasons why I don't follow hockey at all, except world championships and olympic tournaments a bit.

K.Love is such a relentless worker.

There isn't that much fancy about him. He just out works everyone else on the court.

http://espn.go.com/nba/dailydime/_/page ... outs-takes

Eastern Conference scout on the Knicks' Amare Stoudemire (25.7 points per game) and Raymond Felton (18.6 ppg) ranking as the highest-scoring pair of teammates who switched teams this offseason ... ahead of LeBron James (24.1 ppg) and Chris Bosh (17.9 ppg):

"Felton's been as good as he can possibly be. Stoudemire's doing what he's done his whole career, so I'm not really surprised even though everyone said he'd miss Steve Nash. Amare's just got a great skill set.

"Felton's also benefited by playing with Amare. They've found a common ground. But he's shooting the ball well and he's become a better pick-and-roll player. I'd think after being in Charlotte under Larry Brown and now being in New York under Mike D'Antoni, it's like the floodgates have opened.

"Larry taught him the right way to play, but I'm sure Felton's thrilled to be in a situation where he's given the ball and you can shoot when you want to without being criticized too much and Amare will catch everything you throw to him whenever you need a bucket.

"Larry's a great teacher and taught him how to do the right things, but in that process he'll grind you down and break you down mentally to the point where you've had enough. He's always so tough on his point guards. But now the kid goes to this situation and it's completely the opposite. He's been schooled well and he's benefited greatly from the change of scenery.

"It also helps that the guys around them like [Danilo] Gallinari and [Landry] Fields and [Wilson] Chandler know their roles. But the thing with them is that those guys are logging a huge amount of minutes. They don't have a true backup point guard and they don't defend anybody. They're on the right track to go to the playoffs, but you're going to be able to score on them."

So the criteria is that it has to be two players playing together for the 1st time on a third team?

Outside of LBJ and Bosh I imagine the competition would be pretty sparse.

I mean, the best we can do is Livingston at 5.5pts and Kwame at 3.8pts!!!

I wonder how this went unnoticed, lol.
http://dimemag.com/2010/11/hedo-turkogl ... le-mumble/
Hedo Turkoglu is a player known for his constant trash talk — only because of his thick Turkish accent and mumbling voice, his opponents don’t know what he’s saying.

On Thursday night when the Magic played the Suns, Rashard Lewis found himself opposite Turkoglu and his constantly moving mouth.

“He was talking noise, talking a little smack,” Lewis said. “You can barely understand what he’s saying, but he’s saying something.”

Turk’s trash talk is a mix of English, Turkish and jibberish. Dwight Howard said it’s difficult to keep a straight face when Turkoglu gets going, especially in a game like Thursday.

“It’s like mumble, mumble, mumble basket, mumble, mumble, mumble ball,” Howard said, sort of. “It kind of confuses you as much as anything.”

Talking trash was about all Turkoglu did on Thursday. He finished 0-for-8 from the field and scored only two points.
