18 times a season!

Says the smartasre thinking we can get a better backup center then Jake Voskuhl.

Yeah, I do. I would take Sean Williams or Zoubek over Voskuhl. Paul Davis is available; he'd be an upgrade over JV.

Would you guys trade for A. Jamison, for the likes of Luke and/or Sasha, and one of your youngster (Caracter or Ebanks) ???

I think he'd be a great 6th man for you, just like he's doing in Cleveland. He's got just on year left in his contract, and he's still producing good basketball.

sasha/luke only make ~5 mil each. jamison makes 13M. so it would have to be both of them. and in that case, the answer is a resounding yes.

can anyone freshen up my memory. has there any athletic, high flying big (e.g. Amare, Tyrus Thomas) who ever played for the Lakers the past decade? i wonder how that style of play can fit the mold of the triangle... they had the power aspect in Shaq, shooting in Horry, the savvy of Malone and the finesse in Pau. Drew and Lamar are the closest to what i'm asking for but not Amare-lite.

was there any??? :-?

Slava? j/k, honestly I dont ever recall us having any of that, maybe Jaloni McCoy for minute, all he did was try to dunk. Honestly though I think a high flying is actually a bad attribute for a big to have, more chances of injury.

oh yeah Slava! don't forget Samake Walker as well.

usually, coupled with the high flying acts is the energy they bring to the team and to the crowd, that's what i was thinking. and then this dude came to mind just about now:

Image

he's the closest to that high flying, energy guy that the organization had for the past decade/s! with the lack of big man impact the team has right now, i sure wish there was a way to get Ronny back... :(

WAIT! with the Knicks so desperate to get rid of this guy and LA trying to rid themselves of these guys, are you willing to do this?

http://www.realgm.com/src_tradechecker/3/

open the link and behold what i dare propose...

there are so many pros to this trade for both teams. one is that "What the hell.. We're not using them/him anyway."

EDIT: checked the link, not working. the proposal was:

Luke Walton + Sasha Vujacic for.... are you ready?

why sir? they get an expiring in Sasha and both Walton and Sasha can contribute now unlike Curry. oooh wait... is Eddy expiring? cause if he is, then he is a bigger asset than the two and they'll be stuck with Walton, am i right? but say if they agree to the deal, does Eddy Curry fit in with the team?

I love this thread. LOL first time I have ever been here but hearing some of the trade's being offered to the Lakers makes me happy. And the funny thing is, the Cavs really have no reason not to trade a player like Jamison. Sadly though I am guessing that the Cavs could get more then the Lakers could offer.

AV now that guy is a work horse. Great player. Would be an amazing bench player. Would love to have him but he seems like a player the Cavs want to hold onto for the long run.

Now If they wanted to trade him it would probably look like this

Lakers trade

Luke
Sasha
2 first round picks

For
Anderson
part of the trade exception
a second round pick

Hahahha I don't actually disagree with you (Even though I would never trade wither of those players of AV) I was just responding to what another cavs fan said.

Maybe, I don't know if you would consider it, but, if you include Bynum in a trade for Jamison, you could get Varejao with him...

Something like this:

Sasha
Bynum
Ebanks

for

Jamison
Varejao
