I went to the game (section217) and just now turned on primeticket's replay at home. Make no mistake guys, the place was ******* loud. TV really does a good job of tuning out the crowd noise.

I was fortunate to get VIP level tix free that I can't afford, had a fun time, but man what a dissapointing performance. :nonono:

3.5 quarters of the Lakers sleepwalking thru the game.

Thank goodness for Brown, Blake & Barnes, those guys showed some energy and interest, but the rest of the guys looked like robots on low batteries. :sleep2:

Where is the fire? :onfire:

This is the first time I've seen Blake Griffin play in the pros, he has calfs the size of tree trunks :lift:, but man he can't shoot worth shi*; our size definitly affected him.

Props to the Clipper fans, I had no idea there were that many of them, lol.

The Lakers win ultimately with the one thing all the other teams do not have; the two most clutch players in the NBA...2 & 24. You saw it on display in the NBA Finals and you saw it on display tonight.

He looked like Kwame Brown last night. If he had fumbled one more pass I was about ready to shut it down and go to bed.

I will say this -- he's a lot more consistent than you gave him credit for in the rest of your post.

But no doubt, tired or not, his effort level has been crap. I can't remember if it was last night or Washington, but there were a handful of plays where he wasn't even jogging up court. Pitiful. I don't expect him to do things he's not capable of. But I also don't expect him to botch pinpoint passes and loaf around.

If we're pointing fingers, some need to be leveled at Artest. Holy crap has he been bad. If teams weren't guarding him last year, they're not even paying attention to him now. With good reason, too.

Thank goodness Brown and Barnes have been as good as they have or we'd be in major trouble on the wing.

NOT Defending Gasol play of late but lets play devils advocate here and see how high a lvl Bynum can play at if he was playing 40+mins/night

^^^thats not the point I was making, in fact I would use 40min example on any big on any team, Even with the likes of a younger more athletic D. Howard, would be less effective playing 40min a night almost every other gm since our hot start. Its not an excuse for Gasol it is a FACT, he is getting worn out.

Yeah, there's no doubt that he's worn out. I'd venture to say Howard would handle heavy minutes better than Pau has as of late though.

The lack of bigs even when Bynum does return is disconcerting.

The weird thing is that Pau didn't play this summer so he should be a little fresher. To me it also seemed, that even though he was playing great to start of the year his effort on defense was minimal. He seemed to be coasting right from the start a bit and shying away from contact more then usual. Dunno if he knew the minute load was coming and was just trying to stay healthy, but it was noticable right away for me anyway.
