Crawford and Marvin leaving
Marvin Just can't seem to get it Right after so many chances If we can find a trade partner he's good as gone and maybe he can get the ball a little more on his new team and role. Jamal Crawford can chose where he wants to go and I'm sure as a 20ppg scorer he doesn't wanna come off the bench behind joein the start of his prime now Considering he scores and even passes a little better then joe for only half of joes Price Tag! Why would crawford wanna come back here behind another Shooting Guard that he avgs the same amount nearly and teams will be ready to spend for a scorer not everyone is scared of this CBA crap!!!! So these Two guys are as good as gone

Re: Crawford and Marvin leaving
Crawford isn't going to get a ton of offers for him to be able to start, and if he does it is likely going to be for a lower tier team. Jamal has some flaws in his game, some very severe flaws that people remember (aka he is a chucker). I'm not saying he is going to come back, I just don't think he is "good as gone" because he is a great scorer that every team wants.

Re: Crawford and Marvin leaving
A Ton of Teams probley won't be interested in him because they have scorers but the 4-10 teams that need his scoring to start or come off the bench will be interested! I'm not saying he's gonna get a JJ max contract but he's a special offensive talent who some teams are gonna go after! I heard people say he's a chucker years ago but who doesn't chuck, JJ chucks, monte ellis, kevin martin, kevin durant, danny granger, andre iguadala they all chuck shots, so I don't even pay attention to people who say that! We could get a solid Center or Pg for marvin and a draft pick!!!!

$6?
Is it to much to ask for a team that plays hard and cares? Seems so.

Salaries wouldn't match - the cash isn't player salary. I'd prolly do a Moon + Parker for him if I couldn't find anything better though. Give us some added depth on the wing without taking on any future salary that we don't have an option on. Also allows us to deal off Mo Evans as an expiring if we find another deal out there. If you'd prefer to deal Gibson over Parker then I'd guess we'd do that too. We'd want to find another taker for Bibby 1st though, and we wouldn't be inclined to just give him away either - so it'd be trickier to pull off. I think we could work it out though.

Re: Crawford and Marvin leaving
Marvin should go. It would be better for him and the Hawks. He'll never overcome the fact he was taken before the best PGs in this league. My problem with him is that he's not really good at anything. He's probably average in one or two things, but that's it. Some of us have thought he would benefit from Joe's absence. Not so much. He just doesn't have it in here. He just won't take a game over or at least want it. He's just too satisfied in being the playerhe is and that sucks. Compare him to Smith and tell me how much Marvin has improved from his first years in the league.
GO HAWKS.

Mavs fan here. Would a deal around Caron Butler work with you guys? I still like Marvin and his defense, but also, he has a bit of a post game that the Mavs lack. The money doesn't work straight up though, so other people/teams would have to be involved.

Would you prefer Joe Johnson?

No Chance of Gibson being swapped for Parker. That would be a steal for you guys. What's the salary cap set at, couldn't Cleveland just absorb the difference in salary?

Certainly, CLE looks like nearly 5.5M under the salary cap, but you would need to renounce to your James trade exception, because it puts you over the salary cap at this moment

So to absorb a salary, you need to use part of this trade exception, it makes more sense.
And even if we have a trade exception able to absorb Moon contract, we don't need it.
So Marvin for Moon works and we get 4.2M relief, enogh to use the Childress trade exception (3.6M) if needed and stay under what we are set with Marvin.
Meanwhile, I don't know if I would do this trade, and I do'nt know if CLE would, because it would leaves 7.2M of trade exception, while you have currently 14.5M, enough to get a better player than Marvin.

I think that Marvin could really benefit from a change of scenery. I also think that Marvin would be a good fit in Byron Scott's uptempo offense. Essentially, I would view such a move as low medium risk (using a portion of the LeBron TPE)/high reward (Marvin ends up being a solid starter). Cleveland could then look to move Mo/Parker/remainder of the LeBron TPE for an upgrade at SG, picks, or expiring contracts.

It'd be awfully nice to hear about centers and PGs... ya know we NEED them, right?
If all we can get are wing players, why bother?

My mother told me, she said, "Elwood, to make it in this world you either have to be oh, so clever or oh, so pleasant." Well, for years I was clever; I recommend pleasant.

Not really. Too much money since we already have our big money guy in Dirk.
Did you have a proposal in mind?

Any combination of Caron, Deshawn/Brendan, maybe a young prospect like Jones because I know RoboBobo is off the table.
