I thought Millsap had a great game. 9-12 shooting and some damn good defense. Hard to blame the loss on him. Williams ran the same play three times in the fourth and got a turnover each time throwing the same pass to Jefferson. That really killed any momentum we had. What really did us in was AK's defense and the total lack of a bench. 4-15 shooting from the bench is terrible. Shooting 7% from three point land won't get you too many wins either. Luckily Memo should help both of those problems tremendously when he comes back.

I hate to say it but Kyle Korver would fix some of that. CJ Miles is too inconsistent of a shooter.

I didn't see the game, but how did Millsap do on boxing out? From the numbers, it looks like he played well except for there. I think that giving up offensive rebounds is the reason we lose so far this season. Illgauskas had 4, Bosh had 3, Dampier had 2, and Howard had 2. We have to keep them out of our paint. I mean, Miami had 15 offensive boards to our 18 defensive boards--close to half of lose balls went to the other team on our own defensive glass... :-? And they didn't even have Haslem. They did it with Creampuff Bosh, old three old men. I miss Boozer's rebounding.
In '03-'04, Jerry Sloan coached the ESPN predicted "worst team of all time" to 42-40.

I didn't notice him doing a bad job boxing out, he wasn't rebounding outside of his area. I can't figure out why his rebounding numbers have dropped so much, I thought they'd go up if anything.

Bosh is a joke ? Really ? You mean you can do things that he does? Or better ??

Thought so.
Shut your mouth.

You do realize that this is the Jazz board and not ours right? So telling them to shut their mouth is pretty inappropriate, especially on a night when Chris didn't play well at all.

Aside of that, it was yet another good game between our teams. Your bench was annoying the hell out of me with all the energy they played with and when we were only up 8-10 towards the end of the game, I started to have nightmares about this power forward who nailed half of his career threes within 30 seconds against us. If he could do this consistently, you guys wouldn't have any problems because all I really see missing on your team is a reliable shooter, who could space the floor for D-Will and your two bigs. I always thought Bell's three point shooting abilities were much better though.

No one can expose the lack of athleticism on this team better than Lebron and Wade.

Our transition defense was absolutely awful. I'm usually not the reactionary type, but goddamn AK is terrible. We need to trade him for an athletic wing asap. He's only gonna become more ineffective with time.

Our offense seemed fine, that defense on the other hand, combined with a 42-28 rebounding disparity, isn't gonna beat elite teams anytime soon.

The response of someone with no argument.

"Bosh isn't in Wade's and James' league."
"Oh yeah???? Well... well... I bet you're not as good at basketball as he is."

Of course not. OC Jazzfan isn't as good as Carlos Arroyo or Maurice Evans either. That's why he has a job that's not playing basketball for millions of dollars.

We could even use a guy like James Jones on our team. Does that dude ever miss an open shot?

Haha Jones really surprised us this year, only reason he's playing is bcuz Mike Miller is hurt, he's providing way more than i thought he could, best part is we got him for 1 million, lol. Id trade him for Raja Bell though

I was talking about real basketball fans, not the ones that decide to sign up for a forum when their team becomes the uber bandwagon team of all bandwagon teams.

you have to got to be the most homer basketball fan on real gm. Just admit the jazz sucked compared to the heat and only got lucky game 1. Why do you guys even have hopes for the season. Do you truly believe you can win the nba title this year. good luck with that

I hate to burst the bandwagoner's bubble, but the Heat aren't winning anything either.

You're insane if you think your front court isn't going to get annihilated by any decent PF/C combo in this league. Boston will kill you, Orlando will kill you, hell even Chicago would beat you. And that's before getting to the West.

Unless you think Wade can catch fire from 3 every night and Big Z can shoot like he did against the Jazz with regularity, you can forget about a title.
