“Put it like this, if we turn this thing into a winner, I’m happy,” Johnson said via the Detroit Free Press. “I’ve won 11 games since I’ve been here in four years. Losing definitely sucks and you definitely don’t want to be around losing. You can’t get used to that.

“I can’t get used to it because I haven’t come from that. I’ve been used to winning. And if this thing can’t get turned around, man, like I said — I’m just going to leave it at I can’t get used to it. I want to win.”

Honestly, what he's saying above has me worried. Will he not sign an extension here unless we start winning, and quick? Sounds like he's gonna bolt as fast as he can. Hopefully this offseason is the last one where we have multiple large voids to fill....

Every good player on every bad team says things to that effect. I'd be worried if he wasn't frustrated with the losing. What this tells me is that he will not sign an extension this offseason, which the Lions were/are hopeful he will do. Nothing to worry about. Yet.
It's not whether you win or lose, it's how good you look playing the game

Return to Detroit Lions
