How the hell does this city have a basketball franchise? There is 17 people at the game.
Is it to much to ask for a team that plays hard and cares? Seems so.

It's one of the few times we have a busier gamethread than the opposition.

This is coming from a long time Hawks fan and defender and I hate to be a negative Nancy, but I think none of the following have helped matters for the city's pro hoops franchise:

1. Trading the face of the franchise, Nique, in the middle of a tremendous season with title potential (helped in part by a certain MJ trying his luck swinging a bat).

2. Draft history. As much as everyone can get behind Horford and Smoove, it will be years and years before people forget about CP3, Deron, Roy, etc. etc. etc.

3. Total meltdown against Orlando in last years playoffs.

4. JJ's perceived attitude by fans after that Orlando series and ensuing huge contract offer and signing just weeks after.

I've found myself, for the first time in almost 20 years of die hard support, not really caring about this team. I hope they figure things out. However, I've started feeling what I think many in this city already feel as far as the Hawks go...nothing.

I agree with all of that. Im a big fan as well but its embarrassing. I recognize that this isnt the biggest basketball area but its not like the product on the court is complete garbage. The Kings are putting out garbage and they have good fans. The Warriors arent very good and have great fans.

Kings are in Sacramento and therefore the only game in town. They also have a face to ownership in the Maloof brothers. They also have a promising, exciting core in Tyreke and Cousins.

Golden State is definitely the anomaly of the league. Always have fan support even with like 1 playoff appearance in the last how many years. Having the fast-paced offense led by Curry and Monta doesn't hurt either.

I think this team just needs to, after all these years, find their identity. I hope someone like Blank will someday buy them and really give it the energy needed. Above all, the Hawks need to accumulate some legit history. Coming close against strong Boston teams in '88 and '08 should not be a team's brightest moment to point to.

Toldja Drew messed up not playing Teague last night.

Chris Cohan purchasing the Warriors is only going to keep the fans content. Cohan is a true Warriors fan and has already reached out to the fans by offering them great deals. I've always enjoyed watching GS games because of the crowd.

A owner can certainly do wonders for a team and a good example is Mark Cuban.

Granger's not hurt -- he's just disgusted and wants out.

Damien Wilkins almost cost us 2 of our players. He knocked Powell out and hurt Crawford.

Danny may want to stay depending on if Bird can use the $30(?) million in cap space to sign a top tier free agent. We'll see what happens, but I'd probably prefer not to play in Indy.

He shot 3-14. He should be disgusted with himself.
