Seriously. But as a few of you have said, at worst it's a lateral move and honestly opens more option for Tyler and such. I mean I guess Earl could chuck 3's in JOB's offense and knock a few down, but he's basically going to be Troy without the rebounding and about half the points.

Earl Clark ='s Anthony Randolph. I'd rather give up Solo as opposed to a first round pick.

So McRoberts minus above average passing? Hmm.

At the beginning of the year, I would've jumped all over this. Now though, Solo has been playing pretty well for us, and I don't like the idea of having Foster and his balky back as our only center insurance.

Since Clark doesnt fit in with the Suns and its pretty clear JOB doesnt want Tyler on the floor.. Just swap them. Both guys would fit in with the other team.

Now according to the wiretap, it looks like this potential deal is a no-go.

From what I saw from him in college, (with Louisville being in the Big East and constantly covered by ESPN, they were always on TV) he didnt look bad on defense, and definitely not troy murphy bad. I thought he seemed like a solid shooter who could stretch the D (pull a big guy out of the lane*) and had good strength and overall offensive ability. From what I've read about him now, he's hungry and working hard to stay in the NBA and build a career.

I dont know what your bias is against him, but its undeserved at this point. They barely played man to man at Louisville and he hasnt gotten enough run in the NBA for you to really judge his defense.

Starkiller musta lit up Clark in a rec league game or somethin, because I don't know how you can judge a player's D by such little play time and especially in Phoenix's system.

DraftExpress says his only problem on defense is his off ball defense. Everything else they say about him seems to say he is a good defender and a not so good offensive player. People knew he was raw coming into the league.

Because he was horrible at UofL where I've seen almost every single one of his games? Being that I live here? WIth little PT he has had in the NBA, I can't forsee it getting much better.

Then why would you say something about his defense when you know Pitino runs mostly zone? The scouting services refute what you said. Why?

I'm waiting for all of the Tyler Hansbrough supporters to come in here and lecture you on how some players shouldnt be judged yet because they have not gotten enough PT. Clark has gotten alot less time than Hansbrough as well.

I wish this would've gone through even though him and George are a lot alike. Value wise if Clark got some time to play he would show his athleticism and his value would rise much higher than it is now. With Solomon, what you see is what you get. He's maxed out.

To be fair Tyler also has had alot less practice time and has been learning on the fly pretty much the entire time. He has also shown glimpses of what he could be with 12 or 13 double double digit scoring games ( including a few 19+ point games ) and a few double doubles.

Clark has barely even shown flashes at this point.

I was never enamored with Clark coming out of the draft, and I still am not now. He's not very fluid with his game. Sure, he looks the part of being a very good NBA, but he never seemed to have very good court awareness and is almost robotic with his movements. He reminded me a lot of Joey Graham coming out, NBA athlete, just questionable fluidity of his game.
