Jamaal Charles five-years, $32.5 million

Chiefs have signed RB Jamaal Charles to a five-year, $32.5 million contract with $13 million guaranteed. Adam Schefter (Twitter)

Good deal for both sides.

this is a steal for the chiefs, perhaps this is why they've been limiting his carries this season, didnt want his price tag to be to high. either way toddy haley can die until he keeps giving jamaal charles 25 carries a game conistently (along with some god damn goalline carries)

I love it for KC. Charles is averaging 6 yards per carry after his great year last season. I agree with everything studcrackers said. I know they have Thomas Jones, but Charles should really be carrying the ball a MINIMUM of 20 times a game and should have way more than 3 TDs. If he got the appropriate amount of carries and was played in more goalline situations, there's no reason why he couldn't go for 1800+ yds and 13+ TDs this year. He'll probably end up with 1500 yds and 5 TDs or something, but he should be better utilized.

Agreed. This guy is having a historic season YPC wise. I know he gets called CJ lite sometimes, but if he's not right there with CJ he's only a smidgen behind...and I'm a Titans fan.

Maybe if they weren't in the playoff mix but otherwise it's just stupid. You want to win right?

I'm a Jamaal Charles fantasy owner and I'm sure you fellow JC fantasy owners can attest. GET HIM THE DAMN BALL. He has one of if not the highest YPC average in the whole league! Kills me every week when I see statlines like

Charles 16 Carries 160 yards 0 TDs
Jones 20 Carries 55 yards 2 TDs

UGH!
