OT - Big Ten Logo and Division Names Being Announced 11 AM

Big Ten to announce division names and new logo at noon ET

I always thought Black and Blue would be decent names. Curious to see the new logo too.

Not a huge fan of the logo. It's ok, but nothing special.

I thought it was weak, very simple but nothing good about it.

My expectations for the divisions dropped significantly after the logo was presented. I have a feeling they could be pretty bad.

Now that they are talking about Big Ten leaders, I have a feeling they are going to name a division after Joe Pa or something.

Maybe they go even more historic? Schembechler, Hayes, etc...

Good lord. First of all, I hated the re-alignment, specifically because we didn't get locked in with either Nebraska or Iowa perennially, but now "Legends and Leaders"? What is this, Dungeons and Dragons or Magic Cards? And what are the 18 new trophies? Rivalry trophies?

No they are mostly player awards, like for example the "Dungy-Thompson trophy" is the "Humanitarian" trophy. A lot of pointless trophies that no one is going to care about.

Agreed. Take Minnesota and put them in our division and put Indiana in the other division. That way we get them every year, Minnesota can get Iowa every year, Indiana can get Purdue every year and we can start a new rivalry with Nebraska.

Minnesota
Penn State
Ohio State
Wisconsin
Purdue
Illinois

Nebraska
Iowa
Michigan State
Michigan
Northwestern
Indiana

Minnesota gets Iowa
Penn State gets Michigan State
Ohio State gets Michigan
Wisconsin gets Nebraska
Purdue gets Indiana
Illinois gets Northwestern

Every team gets a relevant rivalry and the divisions are fair.

The division names should just be "Michigan" and "Ohio State" since those were the only teams that mattered when they considered the division alignment.

Those names are corny and offensive to many of the programs. Are they implying that Ohio State don't have history? That Michigan and Nebraska are has beens? It's also exclusive of the lower teams within the divisions who clearly had nothing to do with assigning names. Just pick something vague and classy to make everybody happy.

Also, is there a hidden 2 in that logo somewhere? Because the I in Big looks like a 1 and I can't find a 2.
