Post#1 » by Crowned » Sat Apr 7, 2007 5:12 am

Who would you guys take as the #1 overall pick in this years draft? Why? Would you take Cherepanov? Kane? Voracek? Alzner? Gagner?

I'd take Angelo Espisito. I just love the name. It flows so nicely off the tongue. Plus I think he is going to be one helluva a player.

I want it to be a Canadian but I would have to go with Kane or Voracek at this point.

Alexei Cherapanov, however the russian agreement and all that drama will hinder him going first overall.
So probably Im thinking Patrick Kane.

the better question is which team will have the first overall pick. i know for a fact that my flyers will win the lottery on tuesday, but will they keep the pick. the first overall talent is not that much better than the fifth best talent. i see the flyers trading the pick to maybe to the oilers for their first two picks.

also as a flyers fan, i am not sold on kane or cherepanov. at this point i am willing to take the risk of taking esposito at maybe 5 or 6.

If you can score in the RSL, you can score anywhere. Cherepanov

I'd pick Cherepanov but I have a feeling Kane will emerge as a clear-cut #1

Will someone give me a brief synopsis on Cherepanov please.

Is he a russian sniper like Ovechkin and Kovy?

I was not sure if you were allowed to link articles from that site because I think they are the competition now.

Patrick Kane

I don't know about anyone else, but I've actually seen him in action quite a few times at LK games.

He might have to make a brief stop in the AHL, but he isn't going to be held down there very long, he's got way too much talent to not be playing in the NHL.

The only negative thing I can find about all of this is that he's going to have to play in Chicago.

The 2007 NHL Entry Draft was the 45th NHL Entry Draft.
The 1st round pick will be Lars Eller and 2nd round pick will be Aaron Palush.
These to are my favorite picks.
