Jazz need to tweek rotation

Post#1 » by Montanajazz » Tue Dec 14, 2010 4:22 pm

The Jazz need to bring in Jermy evans on 2nd team rotation! either Have him play Small forward(since Hayward is not efficient yet) or power forward until Okur comes back. Start Price until Bell is ok to play and have Miles be back up shooting guard!

U have some good ideas there. The main issue is the slow starts and how to fix them. I really think starting Price would be a great idea to bring energy to early in the game. The Jazz bascially sleep through every 1st qtr. Price sleeps through nothing and will push the other starters to act similarly.

Sloan doesnt like breaking players roles due to injury, I highly doubt that ronnie will ever start as long as raja is day to day. Besides he starts ronnie and all the fans start complaining that we have no energy off the bench, and that watson price lineup shouldnt have been messed with because they work well together.

the rotation is fine in my opinion:
deron
raja
ak
paul
al

earl
ronnie
cj
(memo when he comes back, a few people think he will start *hammerdunk* but I dont see him starting.)
elson

I know alot of people like jeremy but I see it, where if he doesnt have an impact on games from now till memos return we wont be seeing much of him.

Its unfair to the other players on the team to play Hayward when he is clearly not ready to do so. Hayward is a complete liablility on the court needs to be sent tot he D-League asap.

I love the second unit. CJ has really shed what so often frustrated me about him in the past and has become one of our best scorers. He is the perfect punch off the bench.

That being said...our first quarters have been a glaring weakness all season long. Bell was terrible early on, and got a bit better as the season moved on before getting hurt. I am in favor of letting Bell continue to start, but I would bring CJ in for Bell sooner if Bell is struggling early.......

Ronnie Price is one of my favorite players due to his relentless hustle and tenacity....but starting him alongside DWill would spell doom against the taller and better SGs in this league......

As long as CJ is playing well, he should be getting 30+mpg.........

Sloan plays rookies. Just look at Wesley Matthews last year. Or look at Paul Millsap's first first year. He's even given Hayward many opportunities this year.

I can't fault Sloan for benching a guy that's contributing nothing.

When did I EVER say Okur would start when he comes back??? :o

I normally don't think that shipping a guy off to the D-league is the best move, but in this case, Hayward needs some time shooting the ball. I think they need to pull the trigger on that when Raja comes back.

Word is, South Beach is ecstatic that they
won't be seeing Millsaps talents again this season...
