who are your all-stars at this point in the season?
forget about fan voting or who you think will make it based on coaches voting. make your responses about who you think should make it so far.

Pretty hard to argue with that list.
I'm still hoping Bogut can sneak in there. He had a broken start to the season but he has really started to get it going lately which is winning them games.

Your reserves for the East are missing Ray Allen.

San Antonio at 20-3 has the best record in the NBA and IMO deserving of a second all star. I would take out Monta Ellis and insert Tony Parker. I have a hard time sending Monta to the all star game when his team is worse than us at the moment. Spurs 20-3 in the Western Conference is very impressive and their players should be rewarded.

Manu's already on the list, Battery.
There's no way Ray Allen deserves an all-star bid.
Pretty good list. In the west, I'd put Nash in over Ellis and would probably do Millsap over Scola, but it's definitely close in both cases.
In the east, I'd skip Granger for KG, and that one I don't think is close. Otherwise I might quibble a little with the lineup choices, but being on the team is what matters.

You likely won't see two from the Knicks, no matter how deserving Ray is. Not unless the Magic/Heat/Celtics/Bulls get one first. (The Mo Williams rule)
Rose
Wade
LeBron
Amare
Dwight
Rondo
Nelson
Josh Smith
Pierce
Noah
Horford

Swedd... the Heat, Celtics, and Bulls already have 2 all-stars each on that list. You'd really include Nelson over Felton, even when they have the same record?

Re: who are your all-stars at this point in the season?
Read what I said up top. I think 18/9 is very much deserving of an All-Star spot. However, I don't think they'd give the Knicks 2 players before they gave the rest of those teams. That's why I think you'll see Nelson, or a guard from some other team before Felton.
Unless of course, the Knicks continue this tear all the way through to the All-Star break.

...I mean, isn't the point here to award for the first 1/3 of the season, not assuming what the records will be at the end of the year? The Magic and the Knicks have the same record, and the rest of the teams ahead of them have 2 on Fats' list.

Re: who are your all-stars at this point in the season?
Again, Ray would be an All-Star if it were up to me. But if Mo Williams proves anything, it's that the Knicks won't get 2 unless they're a top 4 team by then.
I think it's a stupid argument, don't get me wrong.

I would put Derron ahead of CP3 this year actually.

based on the past 2 weeks by the hornets, i could agree with that. you could argue that westbrook deserves it more than both.
ever since the nba bought the hornets they have looked awful. i knew that team was smoke and mirrors. no way they could keep that up with that roster. paul is awesome but he isnt god. he cant overcome poor attendance, a dead franchise and an apathetic fan base.

after watching the warriors again last night, i have to say, ellis is an all-star. dude is just playing some amazing basketball this year. its not his fault the rest of his team cant stay healthy. he shouldnt be punished for it.

If Boozer continues to play like he has been (like 25 and 12 for the last couple weeks since returning from injury), it will be pretty hard to keep him off the team in the East. In the west, Blake Griffin is in the top 10 in efficiency. Both he and Kevin Love deserve spots.

Re: who are your all-stars at this point in the season?
the power forward spot in the west is about as loaded as i have ever seen a conference position in the last 30 years. you could make a solid case for at least 10 of those guys to make the all-star game in any other given year.
