I'm upset at this team. I'm upset that T-Will is gone. I'm upset with our season. I know this is most likely part 1 of a big deal, but if we deal Favors in an attempt to get someone, I'm gonna be pissed.

You nets fans are soooooooo not in a front office state of mind. Go back to ESPN forums. You got 2 FIRST ROUND PICKS, A $5 mill EXPIRING CONTRACT in Vaja......and give up only TWILL who has only been playing 20 mins of game getting 6.7points/3rbound/3assist/.5steals.........and you are pissed !?!?!.....Yeah who cares if you got PROTECTED 1st round picks...Not all allstars are picked in the top 15. Plus having these picks give you more ammunition to make BIGGER MOVES in the future. SO STOP CRYING.

BTW: why is Twill so regarded by you guys ? Stats look pretty average to me. And he cant get playing time on a bad team that is weak on SF and SG. And your mad he got traded.......LOL WOW.

We have crappy one dimensional players at SG and SF. T-Will was one of our 3 players (Farmar, Harris) that can create their own shot and run the offense. He was also one of our young and talented players (Favors, Lopez, James.). Now we lose one our young pieces and get a 3 point specialist (which we already have) and we gain picks in an attempt to get a guy who doesn't want to play here (Carmelo). This season so far has been a big disappointment.

Yep, pretty disappointing. But it looks like Nets front office know more than we do. Might be more to this trade, they might persuade Anthony and Denver to finalise a deal now. If only Anthony agrees.

OK, I will give DEN Murphy, Sasha, our 2011 1st (unprotected) the GS pick and both of the new picks to keep Favors and any other expiring to make salaries match.

Please take all the picks just let us keep Favors

Before people get too upset....just wait a few days, this definitely isn't our last move.

Avery and T-Will didn't get along, it was the right thing to move on from him and get some value.

It seemed like he was going to get playtime after having a great summer league outing, but when the season started it seemed like he regressed. He wasn't taking it to the hole and his jumper wasn't looking too good. On top of that, he turned the ball over a lot and clashed with the coaching staff. Honestly, I don't think it's anyone's fault. I think he just doesn't fit our system.

Twil doesn't really fit any system. He's a guy who can do a lot things, just not any of them particularly well. He's a terrible scorer and can't shoot or finish. He has some playmaking ability, but his handles aren't great and he is a turnover machine. His athletic ability doesn't really translate onto the court outside of his rebounding. He isn't really super young and hasn't shown any signs of improving. He's basically the same player he was a sophomore in college.

He's probably going to be a career bench player. Let's not act like we gave up a potential superstar here.

I think Billy King is trying to get more male fans in the stadium with both Sharapova and Kardashian as the eye candy in home games

I would love to have Melo but not at the cost of Favors. We aren't going to win anything with him here with the C's, LA, MIA still on top. I'd love to use these picks to make a run at Mayo even though thay are saying he's not on the block.

If we're going to make a run for Mayo, I wouldn't mind that, since he's still quite young and a change of scenery might actually do him some good. Also, mainly because of the fact that we wouldn't have to give up too much for him, not just assets wise, but cap wise as well.

Lakers fan here...I honestly think that if Sasha gets playing time, he will be effective for you guys - I think that part of his struggles in L.A. had a lot to do with getting no playing time. He should be able to stretch the floor for you.

Now, I know that L.A. isn't really getting an awesome player in Smith, but what can you tell me about him, objectively?

I don't know what to say about this. I don't believe the part in Ken Berger's report in which he says we're packaging 5 1st-round picks together plus Favors and Murphy to get Melo. That is just way too much and way too many draft choices to make sense. I have a feeling (and I hope it is right) that we're going to be making multiple deals like King said. I don't what this team will look like after the trade deadline but it will be interesting to watch. Before I yell out in frustration, I will wait to make my judgment on this whole matter.

By the way, I think we should all hold back our frustrations against Billy King. Something tells me that he's not doing this on his own. Remember that every deal has to be approved by Proky and something is telling me that Prokhorov is pushing these shifts more than we think.
