To add to the unrealistic, but would-be-awesome list: Jrue Holiday, DJ Augustin, Gilbert Arenas (he actually might not be unrealistic...)

Practically every PG in the entire league would be an upgrade over Udrih and Head though. So as long as neither one of them is starting in January I'd be happy to send a gift basket to Mr. Petrie.

Also, I'm not sure how necessary the CAPS are in the parentheses. That was hard to read.

Arenas...? Aren't there enough delinquents on this team?

I actually think he would fit well with Cousins, hovering around the perimeter or making cuts, sort of like the Peja/Webber duo. There is a trade Curry thread on the Warriors board, which kinda means he's not all that untouchable.

Maybe a Landry for Curry swap? They need bigs and Landry's big enough to play the 4 or 5 on the Warriors.

Honestly, I've thought this sine last year (as a Kings fan living in the bay and living with Warriors fans) - Curry would be a PERFECT fit next to Tyreke. Everything we'd need but the veteran leadership part.

I'd give Landry and 2011 unprotected.

A role player and a draft pick for a guy who's seen as the face of the franchise moving forward?

Considering Curry ain't nothing but a role player himself, I consider Landry and pick to be overpaying, but what the hell, we're feeling generous.

Now that it appears Melo's days in Denver are numbered, theyre probably going to look to move Billups. Even though his shooting has been terrible this year the Kings desperately need a veteran to facilitate the offense. Facilitating here meaning quickly and efficiently putting our playmakers (Evans and Cousins) in positions to make plays for themselves or teammates because Beno isnt cutting it. Not to mention his locker room presence would be a godsend.

Come on Petrie strike while the iron is hot!

fwiw, if melo is traded, there's probably a very good chance that billups becomes an unrestricted free agent next summer - regardless of where he's traded.

so just be patient and pick him up without giving up any assets.

The warriors trading Curry is akin to the Kings dealing Evans or Cousins. It's just not going to happen. Now Monta Ellis, I think he could be had for the right price.

The Nuggets are roughly 12 million over the lux tax line. Which is about the same amount that Billups is owed. I'd imagine that the Nuggets would cut ties from Billups to save the bulk of that money and put themselves below the lux tax. I have a hard time seeing Kroenke paying the lux tax after Melo goes.

I'd think a 2nd rounder and cap space would get it done from Denver's perspective. Teams just aren't capable of absorbing that much salary, and since the Kings could, it's very unique and appealing to Denver.

I agree that Curry is as valuable to the Warriors as Evans is to us. I love Curry, and the fact that I hated his game only two years ago (although I interviewed him after the Saint Mary's/Davidson game and he was plesent enough) to dread the Kings picking him is my personal biggest mistake. I'd LOVE to see him with Tyreke, but it isn't happening.

I would love to see us trade Dalembert's expiring for Billups. He would be a good buffer until we get our PG who will be drafted this year to be ready. Like Bibby now with Jeff Teague. Bibby can't carry all the load anymore by himself but neither can Teague yet. So an over the hill Bibby now helps them.

The only bad thing would be if there was lockout next year and Billups couldn't play. It would work and be better than Dally.

Then they could also find a way to get a prospect for Landry. Both are killing JT/Greene/DMC's development as big men when Westphal has a chance with a vet he can't resist. Greene/Whitehead could still backup JT/DMC and develop the rest of the year and at least learn Westphal's system.

If Dalem and Landry had us in the playoff hunt we would keep them. But it is not the case.

Billups is certainly a championship leader and would rub off on who ever we picked up in the draft.

That would be the smartest way.

I don't think anyone would disagree that Steve Nash is probably the best point guard out of that list, but I also think it's totally unrealistic for him to come to the Kings. He already said he was upset that the Suns wouldn't be a playoff contender and the Kings are in a much worse hole to start out the season than the Suns. However, I think Mo Williams would be a great pickup and is reasonable. I think Head needs to go (I'm not quite sure about Udrih because he can have some good games), but Jeter I think needs to stay. He gives us some great energy off the bench (just so long as Westphal doesn't leave it till the 4th quarter to put him in) which reminds me of Bobby Jackson. OJ Mayo would be a great steal as well I think, but he's not a true point guard which is what we need right now.

Dragic would be awesome. A JT swap for Dragic would be a interesting deal for both sides.
Sometimes you just have to look yourself in the mirror and say....Tyreke Evans.
That just happened.

I think it would be a great trade for both teams. However, I am not sure that the Suns want to move Dragic. I think he is supposed to be their next Steve Nash. So, it might take more than Jason Thompson to get him. Then again, if the Suns want to win now, I could see them make this deal.

I think this deal makes a lot of sense for the Kings. The Kings would still have a lot of beef up front, and I know they view Whiteside as a PF. So a team of Dragic/Evans/Omri/Greene/Whiteside/Cousins seems like a team that once they have experience would be a solid team.

Can we trade you Duhon? Its christmas, so well give you a 2nd rounder too. Dont need any compansation, its better to give then to recieve.

My favorite two SG's that we could potentially get in either FA or trade are: 1) Arron Afflalo or 2) Courtney Lee.

My favorite two PG's to target would be: 1) Aaron Brooks or 2) DJ Augustin

I think going after one or two of those guards would be nice additions to what this team needs.

1) Brooks
2) Afflalo
3) Augustin
4) Lee

Is how I would rate them for our team.
