Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Houston Rockets 12/15/2010

Post#1 » by slick_watts » Wed Dec 15, 2010 7:10 pm

Cupcake homestand continues with a game against the not-so cupcake Rockets.

Nenad Krstic will be out of the game again, Serge Ibaka will start in his place. Cole Aldrich will be available, and it will be interesting to see if he receives any playing time - DJ White seems to have locked down some minutes of late. But it'd be nice to see Cole get some run.

Houston killed us on the boards and from three point land last time out and squeaked out a victory. They made a lot of tough three point shots. The Thunder have been a little better lately guarding the perimeter but there are still vulnerabilities.

Thunder got lucky that Kevin Martin picked up his 2nd.

Martin going to come back in let's see how the defense does. I think we're gambling a little too much and over helping. Teams like this will move the ball when we do that.

We're doing a very nice job on the defensive boards so far.

Six point lead. Offense was great, I think we have to focus more on defense and not leave to help or gamble so much.

Together with the Cavs game, Durant looking as good as he has been this season. Hopefully, he kicks on from here.

Great defense to close the third quarter, bench played well.

Harden has been great.

Time to try and start him?

Nice win. Defense was alright in the second half and the offense had a couple lulls but was great for most of the game.

James Harden is really coming along. Loving the way he is playing offensively, also Mullens has showed me a few things, he seems a bit tougher and more aggressive. Really like his progress, still a ways away but looking good.

I don't know if you guys have noticed or not but actually on the day where I made the "James it's time to shave the beard" thread, Harden stopped wearing his head band. So he did make a change that night. He also might have gone slump bustin'. But the game after the thread he did make a small change to his game. It's amazing how much of the game is mental.
