LOL a step (let alone a two step shuffle) into a jumpstop is a travel. If you don't think that's a travel you don't know the rules.

All this shows me is that he pushed off as well as traveled.

We should be awarded the points as well. That is a shocking decision.

Saw the game on NBA TV and I understand the refs not wanting to blow their whistles in close games but that was so blatant, terrible non-call.

Manu didn't travel AND Skiles didn't swear about the refereeing at any point tonight.

I thought it was traveling as well, but after watching it many many times and checking NBA rules, it isn't a travel. It would be if he had pivoted with either foot before releasing the ball, which he didn't. Check out http://www.nba.com/videorulebook/category.html?cid=76 , exactly the same play in video is labeled as "no travel" and there's an explanation of the rule.

I understand it's hard to get confused on such a fast play (quite honestly, I thought he traveled), but after you see it several times and even frame by frame if you want, you can see he didn't travel

He didn't travel. It was the no-call on the charge that killed us and even earlier the charge called on CDR that should have been a 3 point play. F*ck the NBA.

That example looks nothing like the Ginobili one.

In that one the player picks up his dribble and goes straight in to the hop step. Ginobili picked up his dribble, took two steps then from the second step went into his hop step.

Edit: jump stop/hop step whatever.

LOL sorry guys it's a travel all day every day. Fabio it has nothing to do with what he did AFTER the jumpstop, it's the shuffle INTO the jumpstop that makes it a travel. You can't take an extra STEP into a jumpstop let alone a two footed shuffle lol.

Guys don't try to out think yourself here. A shuffle into a jumpstop is a travel. Simple as that.

it doesn't matter if you take 2 steps back or 2 steps forward, that wasn't the unclear part, you can take 2 steps at the sides (Manu and Wade do these 2 side steps a lot). What was unclear for me was the 2 steps and stop in 2 feet. In FIBA, it's traveling, so I was pretty sure he traveled, but I like to check facts as much as I can before speaking, and it seems it's allowed by NBA rules.

Anyway, like an old coach told us in a class: "if the game is decided on the last ball, you didn't won. You just didn't lose. Games are won by what you did the previous 39 minutes"

yeah even if he didn't travel (i think he did) while he is going back he extends his right arm almost all the way out, was fail all around by the refs, but as has been repeated a million times in this thread, they tend to keep their whistles in their mouths unless a foul is absolutely ridiculous hack in that situation.

Its a little like how refs in football basically never call Pass Interference on hail mary passes unless its really really bad.

I'm not sure whether that is good or bad, considering the general way these calls go for the Bucks, my guess is if they called more late game fouls it wouldn't necessarily be to their statistical advantage.

This is the important part that you are looking for Fabio.

An offensive player may end his dribble by alighting off of one foot and then landing simultaneously on both feet

He didn't 'alight off of one foot into a two foot stop' he alighted off of one foot, landed on the other foot, then alighted off that foot, and landed on both feet. It's a walk, it's an incredibly obvious walk, you are looking too hard into it. Go with your gut.
