I'm really impressed with either of the Jones in this yrs draft. They both fit a need for us perfectly.

NBA Draft . Net has us picking CJ Leslie
Julian Wright 2.0
http://www.nbadraft.net/players/cj-leslie
I am not sure about his basketball IQ, maybe better than Wright.

They have us 11th ri now with no Irving on the list. I'll take Kemba Walker or Josh Selby b4 I go after this guy. I don't think we'll be as low as 11th. A few of those teams could be better than us and no to mention its still a lottery

We're the eighth-worst team as it is. I have hope we'll get worse over the tough period that's right around the corner, especially if Bargs' knee continues to be a problem.

Don't sleep on this kid, and don't freak out because he's European. He's a different kind of cat from AB.

Watching Jonas Valanciunas in pre-game here. Even in warmups the guy is intense, trying to rip the rim off. This dude has some heartbeat...

Euroleague rims are soft, tough American players would easily rip them off, whereas a softy Euro like Valanciunas can only try.

First impression of Jonas Valanciunas physically: Legit 7-0, crazy long arms, skinny, but has big shoulders, and a solid frame. Impressive

BPA, my man. Obviously I have Kyrie Irving dreams like a lot of people here but if we don't have a crack at him I'm just hopeful we get someone with a lot of talent. Obviously, it would be fortuitous if it was not a PF but I wouldn't say we're set at any position.

Tough American players wouldn't be skinny and would have a 7'6 wingspan instead.
PS - I hope you realize that I'm being sarcastic. I don't have an opinion on JV yet.

Agreed, if BPA is Perry Jones, just package out Amir or Davis in a trade. If Davis impresses this year, he would have certain value when weighed against the uncertain value of a just-drafted player. At the least, we could flip him for another pick in the 7-10 range. So it's BPA all the way.

Ya, Perry Jones is one guy I really think will impress and we might have to draft him if he's there for the taking.

Valanciunus is nothing like Bargnani. He's an inside player/rebounder/shotblocker. He's a defensive minded seven footer.

If we end up with the first pick Irving's my man. If we get somewhere between 6-9 I'd go for Terrence Jones or Kemba Walker

Good to hear about Valanciunus, he kinda sounds like Kanter (in which im a big fan of). Regards to Donatas - read his scouting report - and he sounds eerily similar to Bargnani (good offence/weak defence) I think we should shy away from the offensive minded players and focus on good defensive bigs.

I don't see Jones III as a 4, at least not on this team. He'd be no worse guarding 3s than Kleiza or Weems. He's basically got Durant's physical profile. And I've seen him blow past point guards with his quickness, he's a very good ball-handler.
