I think Thabeet would be a perfect project for this team. So much potential if he were to develop, and if he didn't develop, oh well trade and move on. But we would have to go into it with a 2-3 year horizon.

Also, no way do we give up on RoLo yet. We have only had RoLo one year longer (2008 draft) than the Grizz have had Thabeet (2009 draft). Yet a portion of this board says RoLo sucks, he's not any good etc... get rid of him. "Fans" are so impatient with a win now mentality I'd hate to see how Thabeet would be treated here as we waited for him to find his inner beast.

It's a great thing to have young guys in the system learning the game and getting ready to take their place on the playing roster - we just have to have someone actually playing while we wait. I don't know if we can count on RoLo being on the court enough to be the guy our young center is coming along behind. We need three centers. Starter, apprentice and emergency veteran

I really hope Robin ins\t made out of glass - he proved me wrong last year and I'd love to see him playing that way again

Apparently their GM Chris Wallace wanted to take Stephen Curry with the 2nd pick, but the owner Michael Heisley wanted Thabeet. Thats why you never let team owners make important decisions.

According to reports, GM Chris Wallace wanted to take Stephen Curry with the No. 2 overall pick, but owner Michael Heisley wanted to take Thabeet. Since Heisley is the owner of the Grizzlies, they were forced to go with Thabeet.

I'm guessing they're regretting that decision right about now.
