He took a huge discount to play for the Cubs. I don't necessarily blame him. He's made the money, loves Chicago/family is there, and is absolutely beloved there.

We're still going to have to get a reliable veteran setup guy though. Jenks is off the board. Fuentes wants 3 years.

If he wants to be a loser for the rest of his life, let him. I don't want people playing on the Yankees who rather be losers. Being a Cub is being a loser in my book.

Why wouldn't ANYONE want more from the Yankees? How much money do the Yankees shell out every off season?

I would have loved Wood back with the Yanks but I'm not going to berate the guy for coming full circle and going back to Chicago. Wood has had a surreal career. From a fireball throwing starter to a scrawny reliever...was it PEDs? Dusty Baker wearing those young arms down to nothing? Either way, it's another example of how baseball giveth and taketh.

Reports are stating that Wood could have received 2 years 10 million from the Yankees or Sox.

Just proves how big of an a dope he is. Guy hasn't won anything, could have played on a contender, made a ton of money. But chooses to go to a losing team for pennies.

Who is the Cubs closer? Is it possible Kerry was told he would have a shot at that? If so I can understand the move, although still very weird if the reports of Sox/Yanks 2 @ 5 per are true.
