I honestly don't see why not. Players are supposed to be HELPING the team. If a player is not helping the team, he should be benched, regardless of his salary. It just takes a coach with balls to pull it off.

For an illustration, lets say I just bought a BRAND NEW microwave oven; top of the range, for 1500 dollars.
You get home, plug it in, but instead of microwaving your food in an orderly fashion, it plays up and your food comes out wilted and still stone cold.
Now you may try all you like to try and return it to the shop, but as it has been used, the shop will not give you a refund? What do you do? Do you keep using it because it's the top of the range microwave oven and cost 1500 dollars, but is not doing what you want it to? Of course not!

That's just how I see it to be honest.

No not really. At least that guy does put up some good numbers every now and then. And most importantly, his contract expires a lot sooner than Hedo.
And please don't give me that winning is all that matters look, because we sure as hell ain't winning jack out west either.

The conversation will continue as long as Hedo's still here this year, so no, I'm not really beating a dead horse.
And please, to all the EC doubters out there, how are you going to develop when you don't have playing time?

People, you wonder why I can't watch the team play. Here's why, we ain't contending and we ain't rebuilding either, whereas last year we were doing both at the same time. We fell too far off the cliff. Now indulge into our tradition of good enough to be in the playoffs, never good enough to make it to WCF and yet never bad enough to grab a high pick.

The question starts with why the hell did you buy the $1500 microwave oven without reading reviews first. Then it goes on to whether if you really need one $1500 microwave oven. And last but not least, you can't return Hedo to sender.

It seems the Suns are going to try to keep using the oven hoping its going to heat up so they can quickly sell it to a neighbor for $1k.

What about last season guys?! We didn't have Hedo&Chilly to "steal" his minutes. IF he was really any good we would give him that QO. Stop looking at every **** bust (at any NBA team) as suns saviour pls. :x Its bad enough that we have Hedo to deal with...

Really? He was a rookie that was learning just like all rookies who play with good teams........they get very little playing time unless extreme circumstances arise.

It is dead horse beating if you continue to pizznmoan about how much Hedu is paid, and other players who make less, Barbo remiss...and blah blah blah. Hedu is on the roster and he does contribute. If you want to critique his play be my guest... but to maintain a constant vigil against him being here indicating it was some mistake is redundantly redundant. I'll take Hedu over Barbs any day of the week, for the next 2 yrs. Sure, after that its up in the air if this investment pays off. If you remember, though I dont think you were actively here, everyone had a very similar reaction to JRich and his paycheck/production ratio. People biched about Doris and his 9 mill per. I guess, bottom line, people will bich about anything just for the sake of it. IMO, Hedu is not our problem.

I you dont watch the team play, how do you develop your viewpoints on how they play ? I happen to think we have rebuilt fairly well so far... a good group of youngster, all solid team players, no real attitudes, good dedication and citizenry. Are we missing that one young stud ?? Well, yes, but their is a definite core in place and what appears, though some may argue, a plan in place.

Frank is generally the VoW, and even when he isn't he's cranky and. Often all three.

The only real burr under my saddle is that we haven't made a move for what we need. but neither do I want us to make a move that isn't smart long-term, or isn't a good short term move that gives us flex at teh end of the year
I really hate seeing players I like getting sent to to other teams at a cost of ... nothing. Bease, TWill, etc.

this from Hoopsworld today:

....Sources close to the situation say Nash is starting to waiver (sic) on spending the rest of his career in Phoenix, that his frustration level has been very high this season, and that he wouldn't be surprised if the team decided a trade might be the best answer for their star point guard, particularly with Gordan Dragic coming along nicely behind him. For now, however, the Suns are hoping the return of starting center Robin Lopez can help them turn things around before they get desperate enough to trade Nash.
