Billy King "We need to make trades"

Post#1 » by Rockice_8 » Tue Dec 14, 2010 2:02 pm

OK, so what does he mean by that? He has the that mentality of making a move to shake things up. He's always had a quick trigger finger on trades when he was with the Sixers. I hope he doesn't pull another Murphy trade by giving up assets to try and win a few more games.

Untouchables or guys that I'd like to stay
Lopez
Favors
T-Will
Morrow
Harris
2011 1st.
2012 1st.

Trade Assets
GS 1st
2011 2nd
2012 2nd
Outlaw
Murphy
Damian James
Hump
Petro
Farmar

Obviously I'd trade T-Will or Harris for the right trade but not just to make a move.

Trade ideas:
Damian James + GS 1st for Mayo

Outlaw for anything please

I really have a bad feeling about King's statement.

Trade Brook Lopez, Jordan Farmar, to the Hawks for Jamal Crawford and Josh Smith. Why trade Lopez? He's too soft, doesn't rebound, defense is bad and most importantly he can't pass out of the double team. You get back JC who's playing great ball and JS who's becoming the best player on that team.

Trade Harris and Outlaw for Baron Davis and DeAndre Jordan. Jordan is a defensive monster that shoots a ridiculous FG. He's only gonna get better on offense. You can't teach rebounding and shot blocking. A frontline of DeAndre Jordan, Favors and Josh Smith would be awesome.

We are not getting Carmelo Anthony so we need to construct a team that can compete with the emerging knicks.

PG Baron Davis/Williams
SG Jamal Crawford/Murrow
SF Josh Smith/Damion James
PF Derrick Favors/Humphries
C DeAndre Jordan/Petro

I dont see any big trades happening for us before the deadline. Almost everyone else here is gonna have a seizure when they read those ideas, but I can appreciate the creativity of them. Smith and Davis could be a really nice pair but not for the packages mentioned. I agree that Lopez is a bit on the soft side and I have been yelling at the TV alot as of late regarding his little tip backs that always miss. Just grab the ball and force it into the basket like a man. Hes also a little on the unathletic side when he jumps he goes 2 inches off the ground which probably counts for his lack of aggressive put backs. But he still has a fantastic offensive skill set and is above average on defense. I woulnt trade a player like that unless it was for a true superstar.

Why would the Hawks want Brook when they have Horford?

Well if I was GM I would:

Trade 1

Nets get: Gerald Wallace, DJ Augustin, Edward Najera, Matt Caroll
Bobcats get: Devin Harris, Carmelo Anthony
Nuggets get: Damion James, Troy Murphy, Gerald Henderson, Kris Humphries, 5 1st round picks (4 from New Jersey, 1 From Charlotte)

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachi ... Id=2ahsmcw

Trade 2
Nets get: OJ Mayo
Grizzlies get: Anthony Morrow, DJ Augustin

Nets then call up Scottie Reynolds up to have a rotation of:

Farmar/Uzoh/Reynolds
Mayo/Vujacic/Reynolds
Wallace/Graham/Ross
Favors/Outlaw/Petro
Lopez/Petro

Yeah, I'd be a horrible GM.

Bobcats give up a draft pick and G.Hendeson to the Nuggets and there the ones that get Carmelo Anthony. King would be fired on the spot, trading Harris, Humphries, James, 4 1st round picks so the Bobcats can get Melo.

come on treiz...1, Horford is a PF playing C...2, the only legit chance the Hawks have of doing anything in the East is by moving Horford to PF...if they had a legit Center..

Fair point, but let me ask who would you rather have Brook or J-Smoove?

Yes, that proposed Nets roster is begging to underachieve.

Keeping with the threads topic

King better have another trade in mind if the Melo Dream trade doesnt go down. Because something has to justify the Twill trade. If nothing goes down, Avery is going to be move up the
