It's been ugly. Predict how many we'll give up to Okafor and West tonight.
Okafor is averaging 2.5 this season (3.4 career)
West is averaging 2.2 this season (2.1 career)
I say Okafor gets 5 and West gets 4. Let's hope it doesn't happen though.

53 to 24 on the glass for New Orleans. Disgusting effort!!!!
This needs to be fixed or we're a 1st round exit team.

Re: Offensive Rebound Woes
We kept Okafor off the offensive glass. That's about the only rebounding positive I can take away.
It feels so terrible to lose that piece of the Jazz identity. We are a hustle, tough, rebounding team. What's going on???

Re: Offensive Rebound Woes
Memo looked good running the floor tonight so I think he should start soon.
Deron-Bell-Kirilenko-Jefferson-Okur should be the new line up.
Millsap will be the sixth man since he only needs about 10 FGA to get his 15-20.

Re: Offensive Rebound Woes
It might be hard to put Millsap on the bench, but at least the front line will be bigger with Memo. I guess the harder question than who starts is who finishes.
There's enough minutes to play Millsap 32, Jefferson 32, Okur 24, and Elson 8. I hope Elson doesn't get crowded out of the rotation, he's earned minutes. You can't pick and roll against him because he moves his feet so well, he's long, and he understands the offense. Millsap and Jefferson should be on the floor together for the minimum time possible (16 minutes), but the rest of the rotation can play minutes at whatever position is best for matchups. Just getting bigger like that might help us rebound. Jefferson isn't boxing out centers, but maybe he'll do better against power forwards.
If we play AK and Evans at the 3, we should get good rebounding out of the small forward spot, too. That will crowd things at the shooting guard position, but I wouldn't mind limiting the effect our 2s have on the game right now, especially if it means better shot selection and more defensive energy out of Miles, Bell, and Price. Plus, the rookies have to get experience. In reality, Bell and Miles are going to play before Evans and Hayward, but this is what I would like to see:
Williams (36) / Watson (12)
Bell (18) / Miles (24) / Price (6)
Kirilenko (32) / Evans (8) / Hayward (8)
Millsap (32) / Jefferson (16)
Jefferson (16) / Okur (24) / Elson (8)

But yeah, Millsap can still get his minutes even off the bench.

Re: Offensive Rebound Woes
We had a great rebounding night! And against Varejao too! Very encouraging.
Yes, I did forget Fes. I guess if I stay consistent with my other rule, he ought to be playing to get better now, too.

Kevin Love is a rebounding maniac. I hope we keep up the good work in the paint tonight.

13 points & 10 boards in the first half. He might get a 25/25 game on us.

We beat the Wolves on the glass, 45(11 off) to 43(15 off).
Most of their numbers were by Love and Beasley, 29 total boards.
We had Millsap with 11 then Al, Deron and AK had 7-9 each.

Yeah! Once you give up on beating Love, we did alright.
OT: Al had a ton of blocks. That's the other half of controling the paint, and we are improved in that department. The surprising thing is that Jefferson blocks his own man so often. That's hard to do.
