Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Sacramento Kings 12/17/2010

Post#1 » by slick_watts » Fri Dec 17, 2010 5:45 pm

Cupcake homestand continues with the cupcake Sacramento Kings.

It has certainly been nice winning the last two games comfortably. I though the defense against Houston left a little bit to be desired in some parts but there isn't much to complain about when you win by double digits.

The defense is slowly trying to creep up to league average. Our shot defense is now 16th in the league, four hundredths of a percentage point from league average after spending most of the year in the bottom five. The offense has been creeping up, too, with our shooting efficiency now 21st in the league which is about where it finished last year.

The Kings, meanwhile, are bad at almost everything. They don't get to the line, they don't shoot well, don't defend well, the only thing they do sort of well is rebound. If you thought Harden was in a sophomore slump, you haven't seen Tyreke Evans this year.

Should be an easy win like the Cavs game but you never know.

Kings made some tough shots but also we played pretty poor defense on Evans / Udrih in that second quarter. Russ in particular was awful training screens on Udrih.

Sacramento's backcourt did whatever they wanted in the first half.

Should be a 15+ point lead.

It's funny watching the Kings dare Green to make a three pointer. Green's just UGH.

In crunch time he'll make em.

Durant had a great first half shooting, and followed it up by a dreadful 3rd quarter.

He had like 5-6 straight misses.

Not to mention even bricking free throws.

Utah losing to Hornets, so if we close out the game, we'll be outright leading the division.

That's a good reason to play him in crunch time, not 40 minutes.

He made a nice play there putting the ball on the floor.

Nice win but man I wish Aldrich would play. There's no way he could be worse than Mullens.

Odd night, Durant almost out-assists Westbrook, ends up with decent FG% but misses 400 free throws.
