Suns shopping Turkoglu...Orlando/Washington Trade Rumor

Post#1 » by PhxSunsFan13 » Sat Dec 18, 2010 3:21 am

Orlando has had discussions on several fronts, sources said. Phoenix has been making calls to shop forward Hedo Turkoglu and had a conversation with Orlando about the former Magic forward. Turkoglu is in the second season of a five-year, $53 million contract. The Toronto Raptors traded him to the Suns over the summer, but Phoenix is already looking for ways to get off the remaining four years, and $44 million on his deal, sources said.

Magic would still be better with Hedo than with Arenas.

What could they give us?

I'm guessing Orlando would want to send us Carter and Bass, while we give them J-Rich and Hedo...

Not sure if I want that.

I drafted Hedo in a fantasy league. Ok. My mistake. But, I don't have to pay him. It boggles my mind that you guys traded for him, let him start about 15 games, and another 10 games later are looking to move him again. I figured that trading for him meant that he was going to be wanted and a big part of the team, because I didn't see any other reason to make that deal.

You'd think with 40-50 million dollars on the line teams would do a little due diligence.

Steve Nash is probably about to kill himself. First Amare bolts then subtraction by addition with Hedo.

I wish you the best in trading him. I never thought there would be one taker for his services, but, I was wrong there, so maybe there are two.
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

With ORL acquiring Arenas (deal isnt done, but no-way WAS turns them down), i dont think they even think about Hedo. Article said we talked, but nothing happened so im assuming they already passed. Arenas will be acquired for VC/Gortat and a 1st. Only way they get Hedo is if we were willing to take on a even worse contract (Lewis) and no-way we would agree to that.

Our only hope resides in SAC and i think we blew our chance with them already.

I don't know Kerrsed. The difference is Orl knows Hedo works perfect with them; that's proven. Arenas is another story and he is damaged goods.

I wouldn't be surprised if Orlando made a deal with us. Hedo for Gortat and filler :D

Finally! Good lord! And ORL would not have to reinvent the wheel, as Hedo has been there and has done that for them...I am so happy for the Suns.

I dont know. I think we may be able to find a better deal for J-Rich, which gives us good young talent. I'm not too high on Vince Carer either.

Beggar's can't be chooser I guess. If ORL are genuinely interested, I guess it's better just to get the deal done and dusted. I would want a first round pick though.

If I was Magic, I'd certainly try to bring Hedo back. He was perfect for that system and made them hard to guard because when he was on the floor with Shard, that's two 6'10 guys who can shoot from the 3 and most teams don't have bigs who can roam that far out.

From what I have gathered, the Suns, Magic, and Wizards are in trade talks. The players involved are: Hedo Turkoglu, Jason Richardson, Earl Clark, Gilbert Arenas, Vince Carter, Rashard Lewis, Marcin Gorat, and Mikael Pietrus.
From what I'm guessing it would be like this.
Suns get-
Vince Carter
Marcin Gortat

Magic get-
Hedo
Jrich
Clark
Arenas

Wizards get-
Shard

I would miss JRich, but to get rid of Hedo I would do this. Plus Gortat would be a solid center for us. I'm sure there are other fillers and what not too. But this is just a rumor.

Prime Carter > Prime Hedo
but right now... Hedo > Carter
